The Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), which is conducted by APSC for recruitment to various Services/ Posts of the Government of Assam is a multi-stage process comprising three distinct phases: the Preliminary examination, the Main examination, and the Interview. Exam Pattern

  • Once the candidates qualifies in APSC Prelims, they can appear in the next stage, which is APSC Mains.
  • The APSC Mains includes a written exam and an interview followed by that.
  • Candidates can appear for the interview if they qualify the written exam.

Written Examination

  • Candidates can write their answers in either English or Assamese.
  • The questions will be descriptive type.

Interview

  • Candidates who obtain such minimum marks in the written part of the Main Examination, fixed by the APSC, will be invited for an Interview for personality assessment.
  • The total marks awarded for the interview is 275.
  • The interview aims to assess qualities like mental alertness, judgment, leadership, and general awareness suitable for public service.
