Pay Scale

The remuneration for candidates selected in the Assam Secondary School Recruitment 2024 (in both Provincialised and Government Secondary Schools) will include salary and other allowances. The salary details are given below:

Eligibility

• The candidate applying for Assam Secondary School Recruitment 2024 must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
• No person having more than two living children on or after 01/01/2021 from single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per the Govt. policy on Small Family Norms.
• Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for the unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/ MOBC and 45 years for SC/ ST(P)/ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD) as on 1st January 2023 as per Govt. Office Memorandum vide No. ABP.6/2016/51 Dated 02/09/2020 and subsequent Corrigendum No. ABP.6/2016/52, dtd. 20.02.2021.

Educational Qualification

A candidate applying under Assam Secondary School Recruitment 2024 in both Government or Provincial Secondary Schools must meet the following Educational Criteria as given below:

Documents Required

• Class-X/ Class-XlI Examination, Admit Card/ Pass Certificate/ Marksheet issued by Central/ State Board indicating Date of Birth in support of their claim of age
• Certificates of HSLC to Graduation document
• B.Ed Certificate
• Caste certificate (if Applicable)
• Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC)
• Employment Exchange Number PwBD certificate (wherever Necessary)

Selection Procedure

To be selected for Assam Secondary School Recruitment 2024, the following procedure is to be followed:

Teachers Eligibility Test cum Recruitment Test (140 marks)

• The marks secured in the TET cum Recruitment Test by the candidates of a particular stream, for instance, Science Stream, shall be filtered out from the main list into a separate merit list of Science Stream. A similar process shall be adopted for all other streams
• The selection of students under the TET cum Recruitment Test shall be in the ratio of 1:1 of the vacancies advertised

NCC/ Sports/ Fine Arts and Cultural Activities (5 or 3 marks)

• NCC Certificates (5 marks for “C” Certificate and 3 marks for “B” Certificate)/ 5 marks for participation in recognized sports at National Level representing Assam/ 5 marks for achievements in Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing the State officially at National Level
• Candidates who have passed the earlier High School TET and have not been appointed to date shall get weightage @ 5% of the marks secured in the TET or a maximum of 5 marks for selection as a Graduate Teacher

Screening/ Verification

Salary

• The candidate must have a minimum 1-year Diploma in Special Education in any category of disability with a valid RCI CRR number.
• Candidates applying for Additional Resource Persons will need to have work experience of a minimum of 3 years in any government organisation/ NGO working in the field of disability/ SSA/ DPEP.
• Candidates applying for Assistant Additional Resource Persons with work experience in any government organisation/ NGO working in the field of disability/ SSA/ DPEP will be given preference.
• Female candidates with disability or siblings of a disabled person or a person having a child with a disability and having requisite qualifications will be given priority in Samagra Shiksha Axom Recruitment 2024:.
