This DHE Combined Merit Scholarship 2025 owes to provide financial bursary on a monthly basis. Candidates intending to fill up the application forms can apply on or before the 20th of November, 2025. The selection of candidates will be done on a merit basis, following the constraints of budget allocation.

Benefits of DHE Combined Merit Scholarship 2025

Eligibility

  • The minimum qualifying marks to apply for the scholarship shall be:
    • For UG course: 60% in Higher Secondary Final year for those who apply for the Combined Merit Degree Scholarship scheme
    • For PG course: 60% in General Degree Course for those, who apply for Combined Merit Master Degree Scholarship scheme
  • Students pursuing 1st semester general Degree and 1st semester general Master Degree course in Arts/ Science/ Commerce discipline in provincialized Govt. College or State/ Central University of Assam for the session 2025-26 are eligible for the scholarship scheme.
  • The student must be a domicile of Assam.
  • The students must have a valid (up-to-date) Active Bank Account in their name (Preferably in SBI).
  • The candidate should possess the relevant qualification from any recognized Institution to apply for the DHE Combined Merit Scholarship 2025.

Documents Required

  • Certificate from the Registrar/ Head of the Institution in which the candidate is at present studying (mandatory)

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for students applying under various categories of SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025 are given as follows:

School Students (Class 9-12 students)

  • Open for Indian nationals.
  • Applicants must be studying in Classes 9 to 12 in the current academic year.
  • Applicants must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous academic year.

Benefits of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025

  • The number of scholarships for a particular year shall be variable and shall be awarded to all such “Single Girl Students” who have secured 60% or more marks in the CBSE Class X Examination in that year.
  • All the selected students will get a scholarship grant of Rupees One Thousand (Rs. 1000/-) per month.
  • The scholarship awarded under the scheme will be for a maximum of two years.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Single Girl Child should have passed class X from the school affiliated with CBSE and pursued her education at class XI and XIl in CBSE-affiliated schools.
  • Female students who are the only children of their parents and who have scored 70% or more marks (in the first five subjects) in class X are eligible for the award of a scholarship.
  • The monthly tuition fee should not exceed Rs. 2,500/- pm in Class X and in Class XI & XII, it shall not be more than Rs. 3000/- per month.
  • The Scholarship awarded shall be renewed for one year i.e. successful completion of class XI and the student has scored 70% or more marks in Class XI and promoted to class XII.
  • The scholarship shall be awarded to Indian Nationals only.
  • NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
  • A scholar, under the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025 scheme, while availing scholarship can also enjoy other concessions (if any) given by the school in which she is studying.

LIC is doing so with the objective to provide better opportunities for higher education and employment to eligible candidates.

The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025 is open to students of both government and private colleges/ universities. This scheme will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and also Integrated Courses after Class 12th.

Who can apply?

(i) For Regular Scholar (Class 12th passed):

  • The scholarship shall be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 60% marks or equivalent grades in Class 12th (or its equivalent – Regular/ Vocational/ Diploma course) in the academic year 2022-23/ 2023-24/ 2024-25.
  • The annual income of parents/ guardians of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum.
  • The candidate should be pursuing higher education in the field of Medicine, Engineering, Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma Course in any field, or other equivalent courses. Vocational Courses from government-recognized institutes or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) will also be considered.
  • This scholarship is not meant for students, who are doing post-graduation.

(ii) For Regular Scholar (Class 10th passed):

  • The scholarship shall be awarded to the students who have secured a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grades in Class 10th in the academic year 2022-23/ 2023-24/ 2024-25.
  • The annual income of parents/ guardians of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum.
  • The LIC Golden Jubilee scholarship 2025 will be provided to students who are pursuing higher education in the field of Vocational/ Diploma Courses through Government recognized colleges/ institutions or courses in Industrial Training Institutes (ITI).

(iii) For Special Girl Child Scholar:

  • With an aim to encourage education for the girl child, LIC is providing a Special Scholarship for the Girl Child after class 10 for pursuing higher studies in Intermediate/ 10+2 pattern/ Vocational or Diploma Courses through Government recognized institutions or courses in ITIs for two years.
  • The scholarship shall be awarded to the students who have secured a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grades in Class 10th in the academic year 2022-23/ 2023-24/ 2024-25.
  • The annual income of parents/ guardians of the candidate should not exceed Rs. 4,50,000/- per annum.

Benefits of LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025

  • An amount of Rs. 40,000/- per annum, will be awarded to students of Medicine (MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BDS) and shall be payable every year in two instalments Rs. 20000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.
  • An amount of Rs. 30,000/- per annum, will be awarded to the selected Scholar in the field of Engineering (BE, BTECH, BArch) and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs.15000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.
  • An amount of Rs. 20,000/- per annum will be awarded to the selected Scholars who pursues Graduation in any discipline, Integrated Courses, Diploma Course in any field or other equivalent courses, Vocational Courses through recognized institutes or courses in ITIs and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs. 10000/- each during the duration of the course, subject to
    eligibility.
  • An amount of Rs. 15,000/- per annum will be awarded to selected Girl Child for Special Scholarship after class 10th for pursuing higher studies in Intermediate/ 10 + 2 pattern/ Vocational or Diploma courses or courses in ITI for two years and shall be payable every year in two instalments of Rs. 7500/- each during the duration of the course, subject to eligibility.

Selection Procedure

  • Selection of students for the LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2025 will be done on the basis of merit and family background, such as percentage of marks in class 12th/ 10th and annual income of the family.
  • In case of a tie in the percentage of marks, students whose parents is having the lowest income shall be given preference.
  • Out of the shortlisted candidates, 20 students will be selected under Regular Scholarship Scheme and 10 under the Girl Child Scholarship Scheme depending upon merit and eligibility by the Divisional Office for the grant of scholarships.

This scheme will help students who are studying in different places in India, both inside and outside the North East – just they need to be permanent residents of the North Eastern States.

Like other schemes, the main aim of the NEC Merit Scholarship 2025 is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families to meet part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. In this article, interested students can find all the details starting from the benefits of the scheme, and steps to apply to eligibility conditions.

Eligibility

  • Only students who are permanent residents of the North Eastern States can apply for this scholarship scheme.
  • Starting from the academic year 2020-21, scholarships are given out using the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). However, students who were already receiving scholarships before these new rules came into effect will continue to get their scholarships as per the old procedure until the tenure of their scholarship ends.
  • If you’re chosen to receive the NEC Merit Scholarship 2025, you can have it for the entire duration of your course, as long as you meet the renewal conditions mentioned in Section 6 of the guidelines (attached below). They won’t extend the scholarship beyond the normal length of your course.
    • Note 1: Students in integrated courses can get the scholarship for the entire duration of their course as per the rates mentioned below section (Benefits of NEC Merit Scholarship)
    • Note 2: M.Phil. students can get the scholarship for 2 years, and Ph.D. students can get it for 3 years.
  • Candidates can’t receive this scholarship if they’re already getting financial help or a scholarship from another source. Also, if he/ she is a sponsored student with a full-time job during their study period or if they are already working or in service, they can’t get this scholarship.
  • Candidates can apply for this scholarship only in the year when their course starts. For the following years of your course, candidates can only renew the scholarship.
  • The scholarship shall be admissible to the students whose parent/ guardian’s annual income from all sources does not exceed Rs 8.0 lakh. The candidate shall furnish the income certificate issued by the competent authority.
  • The student must fulfil the following eligibility criteria in the previous qualifying examination for consideration for the scholarship:

Documents required

  • Class XII Marksheet (wherever applicable)
  • HSLC/ HSSLC/ Secondary School Leaving/ Senior Secondary Leaving certificate (wherever applicable)
  • Graduation mark sheet (wherever applicable)
  • Post Graduation mark sheet (wherever applicable)
  • Annual Income Certificate of the parents
  • Aadhaar card
  • Bank Passbook for filling in bank details (bank account must be in the name of the applicant)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability certificate (if applicable)
  • Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC) issued by the Dy. Commissioner/ Addl. Dy. Commissioners/ Sub-divisional officers of civil sub-divisions in NE States; except Sikkim where a Certificate of Identification (COI) is issued by the respective Deputy Commissioner in the Govt. of Sikkim to its Permanent residents. A certificate from any other authority will not be accepted
  • Synopsis signed by the project guide/ Director (Research) or any official authorized by the Institute/ University (in the case of M.Phil/ PhD candidates)

How to apply?

The students applying for the NEC Merit Scholarship 2025 must follow the given steps:

  • First of all, candidates need to visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by clicking on the link given below
  • Click on the “Fresh Application” link given in the Application corner
  • Read the instructions given, then enter basic details and get registered on the portal
  • Next, log in to the application portal using the application ID and password sent to their registered mobile number
  • Fill personal and academic details and then proceed to the next step
  • Now, NSP will show a list of scholarship schemes, for which candidates are eligible based on the information provided by them in previous steps
  • From the list, select NEC Merit Scholarship 2025 and proceed
  • Now, check the list of documents that are required to be uploaded, and get them ready
  • Once documents/ images are uploaded, submit the application form and download it
  • Lastly, candidates need to take a printout of the application form and submit it along with a copy of all the relevant documents to the office of their college/ university for further approval

Selection Procedure

  • The selection of candidates for NEC Merit Scholarship 2025 will be purely on a merit basis. The merit list will be prepared exclusively on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying exams and complying with the level-of-course-wise slots allotted to the states.
  • The merit lists will be drawn from among finally verified applications as per the scheme guidelines and after following the laid down procedure on the NSP
  • In the case of selections for M Phil and PhD students, it will be done on the basis of the topic of research/ Synopsis which has relevance to the problems/ issues related to the NE Region. The Subjects/ topics for M.Phil and Ph.D. should invariably be directly, specifically, and currently relevant to the NE Region. Basic and theoretical research shall not be favoured in general
  • In case of a tie, preference shall be given to the candidate having a lesser family income
  • The application will undergo two levels of verification. The first level of verification occurs at the institute level, and the second level of verification is conducted by the applicant’s domicile state in the Northeast Region
  • To be considered for a scholarship, the applicant’s current institute must be registered on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) using the provided U-DISE/AISHE/NCVT Code and following the prescribed verification procedure. Applications from students whose institutes are not registered on NSP will be disregarded. It is essential that all Northeastern states ensure that the institutes where eligible candidates are enrolled are timely onboarded on NSP
  • The second level of verification will be carried out by a Nodal Officer designated for this purpose by the respective state governments in the Northeast
  • The designated Institute Nodal Officer is responsible for verifying that the student meets the eligibility criteria outlined in the scheme. They will have the option to accept, reject, or flag an application as defective
  • Nodal officers are advised to thoroughly check the accuracy of all details provided by the candidate. To verify the correctness, they may review the uploaded documents and any documents available in the institute’s records
  • When necessary, they may ask the student to provide original copies of documents. Additionally, they may have the option on NSP to return the application to the student for corrections if any errors are identified. However, Nodal officers are encouraged to verify the applications promptly to allow students the opportunity to make necessary corrections or submit additional documents

State-wise Allocation of Scholarships

There will not be any reservation/ quota on the basis of category/ religion/ gender for selections in the final merit list of NEC Merit Scholarship 2025. However, there is a pre-decided quota of the number of Fresh Scholarships to be awarded every year to candidates of different NER states at different levels, which is as follows:

About the PM USP Scholarship Scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana (PM USP Scholarship 2025) or Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship is awarded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India on the basis of results of the Higher Secondary/ Class XII Board Examination. The scheme aims to help a maximum of 82,000 candidates per annum for pursuing graduate/ postgraduate degrees in colleges and universities and for professional courses, such as Medical, Engineering, etc.

Allocation of the Funds

  • The total number of scholarships are divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State’s population in the age group of 18-25 years, after segregating share of CBSE and ICSE on the basis of number of students passing out from various Boards in the country.
  • 50% of the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan scholarships are set aside for girls.
  • In the case of scholarships for UTs in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, 3% are specifically reserved for students from Ladakh.
  • The scholarships for each State Education Board are distributed among graduates from the Humanities, Science, and Commerce streams in a ratio of 3:3:1 respectively.
  • If there aren’t enough applications, the scholarship slots can be used interchangeably among different categories (General, OBC, SC & ST), genders (Female, Male), and State Quotas starting from the 2024-25 academic year, as long as it adheres to the Ministry of Finance and NITI Aayog guidelines for SC/ ST fund allocation. This will ensure maximum utilization of available scholarship slots.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria to apply for PM USP Scholarship 2025 are described below:

  • Students who are above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from the respective Board of Examination in Class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent are eligible to apply
  • He/ she should be pursuing a degree course in regular mode and not in correspondence or distance mode or pursuing Diploma courses
  • The institute where the student is pursuing a course has to be recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education and the respective Regulatory Bodies concerned
  • Candidates should not be availing the benefit of any other scholarship schemes including State-run scholarship schemes/ fee waiver & reimbursement schemes

Benefits of National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies 2025

The National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies 2025 applies to students who have completed their graduation and are currently pursuing their studies in the 1st year of Post-Graduation. The Undergraduate Degree must be from an Institution recognized by UGC. The beneficiaries of this scholarship scheme will receive the grant for 2 years of their postgraduate studies. The scholarship amount will be:

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies 2025, students must have been admitted to the first year of a postgraduate degree program at an accredited university, college, or institution.
  • For integrated programs, the scholarship will be granted specifically for the postgraduate component.
  • Applicants must be under 30 years of age at admission to the first semester or year of a postgraduate program.
  • The National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies 2025 is specifically for students enrolled in a postgraduate degree program through the ‘Regular/ Full Time’ mode. Students pursuing PG programmes through open/ distance/ correspondence mode, private or part-time mode, are not eligible to apply.
  • This scholarship is exclusively offered to students pursuing their first postgraduate degree program. So, individuals who have already completed a postgraduate degree earlier are not eligible to apply.
  • Also, the student should not be availing the benefit of any other scholarship/ fellowship scheme. For this, candidates are required to declare that he/ she shall not accept/ receive any grant from any other sources during the tenure of this scholarship.

Selection Procedure

  • Candidates will be chosen based on their abilities and qualifications, with a few exceptions for certain situations as given below.
  • The slots for the National Scholarship for Postgraduate Studies 2025 shall be allocated as per Govt. of India’s reservation policy.
  • However, 30% of these slots will be set aside for women candidates. And from the slots reserved for women students, first preference will be given to Single/ twin/ fraternal Girl Children without considering their marks in the UG examination.
  • 50% of slots under each category will be reserved for students from subjects like arts, humanities, law, and management, while the other 50% will be for students coming from science, engineering, medicine, and technical fields.
  • If multiple candidates have the same grades in their undergraduate exams and are at the lowest level of the merit list, they will be further evaluated based on their scores in their undergraduate studies. If required, marks obtained in class 12th may be considered.
  • The results are usually announced in November or December of the same year on the National Scholarship Portal, however this year there will be delays as application form submission will not be ended by this time.
  • Candidates can check their results by logging in to the NSP portal and checking the “Yes/No” mentioned in the “Selected for Scholarship/ Merit List” column.

About Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025

The scholarship will be given for the duration of study of the UG programme as specified by UGC for each programme, from the start of class in the first year/ semester. In the case of ‘integrated’ and ‘dual degree’ programmes, the scholarship will be payable for the UG component only.

Benefits

  • The selected candidates for will receive an amount of Rs. 8000/- per month (for 10 months a year).
  • 50% of slots under each category are earmarked for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, Management and other 50% are earmarked for Science, Engineering & Technology, medical, technical, agriculture, forestry programmes.
  • The selection under the Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025 scheme is done purely on the basis of State-wise merit from among the candidates who have applied for the scholarship under the scheme, through online mode only, on the designated portal, i.e., National Scholarship Portal of Government of India.
  • The scholarship will be renewed for the next year of study upon receipt of an annual progress report granted by the administrative head of the University/ Institution/ College.
  • The selected candidate will receive the scholarship amount for the complete duration of the course, given that the renewal is successfully done for each academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students should be a domicile of any state in the North Eastern Region (NER), i.e. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland or Tripura to apply for this scholarship scheme.
  • Candidates who have passed Class XII or equivalent exam from a school situated within NER through any recognized Board of Education, including CBSE, ICSE, NIOS within NER only, and have secured admission in general degree courses, technical and professional courses including medical and paramedical courses (Integrated courses included) in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions are eligible.
  • Only first-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • For availing of scholarships under this scheme, the income of the parents of the student should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum.
  • Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme. The reservation shall be followed as per Government of India norms.
  • The students, who are pursuing any UG programme through open/ distance/ correspondence/ private/ part-time mode, are not eligible to apply.
  • Students gaining admission through ‘Management Quota’ are not eligible to apply.
  • The scholarship is available to the students for the first UG Degree only. Students, who have already acquired any degree, are not eligible to apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025.

For Ishan Uday Scholarship 2025, the following documents need to be uploaded when applying for the scheme on the National Scholarship Portal:

  • Domicile certificate/ PRC
  • Annual income certificate issued by the competent authority
