AIIMS INI SS Exam: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released an advertisement (No. 56/2025) for Admission in DM/ M. Ch (three-year) Courses at premier medical institutions all over India for the session of July 2025. Eligible medical aspirants will be able to fill out the AIIMS INI SS July 2025 application form through the official website, on or before 6th May 2025.

AIIMS INI SS Exam 2025: Participating Institutes
- AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS
- Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh,
- National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru
- Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry
- Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram
Seat Matrix
DM/ M.Ch Courses –
- The total seats available are 1,200+ across 19 INIs (AIIMS, PGIMER, NIMHANS, JIPMER, SCTIMST).
- The categories are as follows –
- General: Unreserved seats.
- Sponsored: For govt./ PSU employees (non-convertible to general).
- Foreign National/ OCI: Separate quota.
- Seats for top specialties are as follows –
- DM Cardiology: 32 seats
- M.Ch Neurosurgery: 38 seats
- DM Neurology: 36 seats
- M.Ch CTVS: 41 seats
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational qualification –
- DM: MD/ DNB in relevant specialty
- M.Ch: MS/ DNB in General Surgery/ ENT/ Orthopedics (as per course requirements).
- Age Limit –
- AIIMS: Equal to or less than 35 years (born on/ after 01-01-1990).
- PGIMER: Equal to or less than 45 years.
- NIMHANS: Equal to or less than 37 years.
- JIPMER: No age limit.
- Relaxations –
- SC/ ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- PwBD: +5 years
Exam Pattern of the AIIMS INI SS Exam 2025
The AIIMS INI SS exam is conducted in two stages for DM/ M.Ch courses –
Stage I (Common for all INIs)
- Stage I will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 90 minutes.
- There will be a total of 80 Multiple Choice Questions.
- Marks distribution is as follows:
- Correct Answer: +1
- Incorrect Answer: -0.33
- The qualifying criteria is equal to or more than 50% marks
Stage II (Only for AIIMS & PGIMER Chandigarh)
- For stage II, the top 2 to 3 % of the candidates from the Stage I exam are eligible
- This stage will be assessed for 20 marks in Departmental clinical/ practical exam
- The final merit list will be compiled after combining Stage I and Stage II results
- The qualifying criteria is equal to or more than 50% marks.
Note – All applicants of AIIMS INI SS Exam are required to visit the website regularly since all subsequent Corrigendum/ Addendum/ Updates will only be uploaded on the website.
