BIS Recruitment 2024: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), a statutory body under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, have released new recruitments on a deputation basis. The eligible candidates including serving employees of Central Govt./ State Govt./ Union Territory Govt./ Statutory/ Autonomous Body/ Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs)Reputed Govt. Agency, to fill vacancies in the posts of Deputy Director (Administration & Finance), Deputy Director (Marketing & Consumer Affairs), Deputy Director (Publication) and Scientists (C & D) on a Deputation Basis. Interested candidates will have time up to the 31st of October, 2024 for other jobs except for the Scientist post, whose last date for application submission is the 23rd of September, 2024.

Eligibility
The basic eligibility for the posts of Deputy Director (Administration & Finance), Deputy Director (Marketing & Consumer Affairs), Deputy Director (Publication) and Scientist (C) under BIS Recruitment 2024 is:
i) Officers holding analogous posts regularly; OR
ii) Officers with five years of regular service in the level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500) in the pay matrix
For Scientist (D) under BIS Recruitment 2024 the candidate must hold the analogous post on a regular basis; OR with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in level 11 (Rs. 67700- 208700) in the pay matrix or equivalent
Age
The candidates applying for BIS Recruitment 2024 should not be less than 56 years old (On the closing date of the receipt of applications) age.

Selection Procedure
The selection procedure for BIS Recruitment 2024 is given below:
Screening
Candidates possessing the essential qualifications, experience and age limit shall be eligible for the post. The selection process will involve the Screening of applications by a Screening Committee. The schedule of the interview will also be displayed on the BIS official website (given below). The interview will be conducted at BIS Headquarters, New Delhi. The final selection of the candidates for the posts will be based on merit.
Interview
For the posts of Scientist C and Scientist D, candidates would be called for another round that will be “Interview by a Selection Committee”.
