Assam Atmanirbhar Abhijan 2.0: Launched by the Government of Assam, the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0 (CMAAA) is a statewide initiative by the state government aimed at empowering youth to become self-reliant. The key objective is to reduce unemployment and encourage entrepreneurship by providing financial assistance, training, and market access to selected young entrepreneurs in Assam.

The application process for CMAAA 2.0 began from the 1st day of February 2025. Though, authorities have not announced any last date for the application procedure, it is highly advised that the candidates complete their forms as soon as possible to get the grants in stipulated time.

Grants of CMAAA 2.0

The Assam Atmanirbhar Abhijan 2.0 is targeting the youths of Assam to get better opportunities on the merit of their skills and make complete progress in the Atmanirbhar Assam programme.

The Mission seeks to encourage self-income opportunities by promoting micro-entrepreneur youths of BPL families and low-income households.
in the first edition of this scheme, the income-generating activities like self-employment after professional courses, agriculture and horticulture, fisheries, poultry or dairy etc, packaging, readymade garments, plantations, wood-based industries, stationery, fabrication or hardware etc were given preference.
The beneficiaries as per their eligibility will receive 2 lakhs to 5 Lakhs in two instalments in a mix of Govt grants and interest-free govt loan
The government will empower nearly 75,000 young entrepreneurs and help them acquire skills for entrepreneurship, management and accounting.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
The candidate must possess skills, experiences, knowledge to undertake the entrepreneurial activities.
Applicant should not have defaulted any loan taken from any scheduled commercial Bank in the past.
The candidate should have a scheduled commercial bank account, which has been opened before 1st April 2024.
Age Limit: Must be above 28 years and below 45 as of 1st April, 2024
Applicant should have valid registration with an Employment Exchange in Assam
Applicants must not have a criminal record.
He/ she must have a clear concept or proposal for starting/ expanding a business.
Only one member from any household shall be eligible to be a beneficiary under Assam Atmanirbhar Abhijan 2.0 scheme. For the purpose of the scheme, family mean Husband, Wife, Brother and Sister.

Educational Criteria

For Non-Professional Course Applicants, the minimum education level will be:
- For general candidates – Class X Pass
- For SC/ST/OBC candidates – Class VIII Pass
For Professional Course Applicants, candidates must have 4 years of education in specialized fields like Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, or similar fields.

The documents required to apply for the Assam Atmanirbhar Abhijan 2.0 scheme are-

Identity/ Address Proof – Aadhaar/ Voter Id/ Passport/ Driving license
Proof of Educational Qualification
First page of active Bank account Passbook
PAN Card
Employment Exchange Registration Card

How to apply for the Assam Atmanirbhar Abhijan 2.0?

Visit the application portal by clicking on the link given below.
Next, click on the “Sign up” button and get yourself registered by providing your name, phone number, email id and a password for future login.
Once registered, log into the application portal.
Then enter all their details including educational and other credentials, as asked on the website
Next, upload the project report based on the selected Sector/ Sub-Sector along witbh other important documents in the prescribed format.
Lastly, after completing the online form fillup, submit the form for the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan 2.0.
After successful submission, an acknowledgement slip will be generated along with a reference number.
Candidates will be able to track the status of the application with the help of this reference number in the coming days.
Also, if the applicant is found eligible for Assam Atmanirbhar Abhijan 2.0, the same will be notified to the applicant over SMS and Email.
