Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates seeking admission under Bhattadev University PhD Admissions 2026 must hold a 2-year Master’s degree in the concerned or an allied subject with at least 55 percent marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
- A 5 percent relaxation in marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-abled (with equal to or more than 40 percent disability)/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS), as per UGC guidelines.

Selection Process
Admission under Bhattadev University PhD Admissions 2026 follows a two-stage process.
- All candidates seeking admission must clear the Ph.D. Entrance Test (BU-PET), which will be conducted in offline mode by Bhattadev University with qualifying marks. Following this, an interview will be conducted for those shortlisted candidates who qualify the BU-PET, to determine their suitability for Ph.D. admission.
- Candidates who have cleared NET/ SLET and other equivalent national tests are exempted from appearing in the written test, as per UGC’s Public Notice No.F.4-1 (UGC-NET Review Committee)/2024(NET)/140648 dated 27th March 2024. However, such candidates still have to appear in the personal interview.
Exam Pattern
The syllabus of the BU-PET entrance test will consist of General (50 percent) and Subject-specific (50 percent) questions.
