BTC Recruitment 2025: The Central Selection Board (CSB) of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in Kokrajhar has announced the recruitment drive for 420 posts for the Secretary position in the Village Council Development Committee (VCDC) under the Panchayat & Rural Development (P&RD) Department as part of BTC Recruitment 2025. Vacancies Available

The total number of vacancies available for the Secretary position in the Village Council Development Committee (VCDC) under the BTC Recruitment 2025 is 420. However, this number may be subjected to an increase or decrease, which will be notified by the authorities.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• The minimum age limit to apply for BTC Recruitment 2025 is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years
• Age relaxations are available for the following categories –
  • ST/ SC – 5 years
  • OBC/ MOBC – 3 years
  • PwD (All categories) – 10 years
    Ex-Servicemen – As per govt. norms

Educational Qualification

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree (BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, etc.) from a UGC-recognized university in any discipline.
• The Distance/ Open university degrees are accepted if recognized by UGC.
• Candidate must have a government-recognized computer diploma of minimum 1-year duration.
• Acceptable diplomas:
  • DOEACC ‘O’ Level/ NIELIT Courses
  • State ITI/ Technical Education Board Certificates
  • University/ College-affiliated computer diplomas

Permanent Residence

• The candidate must be a permanent resident of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) of Assam.
• Candidates from the newly added 60 villages are eligible to apply as well.

Selection Procedure

• For the Secretary position under the BTC Recruitment 2025, candidates must appear for a written examination followed by an oral interview.
• The written test will be of 100 marks, and the oral interview will be of 15 marks.
• This test will be based on the following subjects:
  • General English
  • General knowledge with special Emphasis on BTR & Assam
  • Logical Reasoning & Aptitude
  • Arithmetic

Documents Required

• Recent colored photograph with white background in the JPG / JPEG format and 20KB to 100KB size
• Scanned signature in black ink on white paper in the JPG / JPEG format and 10KB to 50KB size
• Age proof such (10th marksheet or birth certificate)
• Educational certificates
• BTR residential certificate (issued by VCDC or the Municipality)
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Disability certificate issued by the medical board (if applicable)
• For Government employees, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the current employer
• For Candidates from 60 New Villages, a proof of residence must be submitted (Either Aadhaar Card with address or Voter ID showing village in Biswanath/ Sonitpur now under Udalguri district)
