Pay Scale
- For the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) post under the CSIR-IHBT Recruitment 2025, the employees will be paid according to the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix.
- The pay scale will be between ₹19,900 – ₹63,200.
- Apart from this, the candidates will also receive –
- Dearness Allowance (DA)
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Transport Allowance (TA)
- Medical Benefits
Eligibility Criteria
For applying for the CSIR-IHBT Recruitment 2025, the candidates must ensure their eligibility as per the criteria given below –
Age Limit
- The upper age limit to apply for the position is 28 years while the minimum age is 18 years.
- Age relaxations are provided for the categories given –

Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate/ Senior Secondary) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Those awaiting final results are not eligible to apply
- Candidates must have proficiency in computer typing with the following minimum speeds:
- 35 Words Per Minute (WPM) in English
- 30 Words Per Minute (WPM) in Hindi
- Typing must be done on a computer and as per DOPT (Department of Personnel & Training) norms.
Selection Process
The selection process for the Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) positions for CSIR-IHBT Recruitment 2025 consists of two phases –
- Written Examination which will be of objective type
- Typing Test to test the skill of the candidate
Exam Pattern
Written Exam
- The written exam will be in the CBT mode or OMR based format.
- The total duration of the exam will be 90 minutes for 200 marks.
- Each question carries 1 marks and there is no negative marking.

Typing Test
- Candidates who qualify in the written exam must appear for a typing test. It is a qualifying test, and marks will not be added to the final merit list.
- The test will be conducted on a computer only. Candidates must choose either English or Hindi before the test.
- The requirements are 35 Words Per Minute (WPM) in English OR 30 Words Per Minute (WPM) in Hindi
