The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the registration portal for the next edition of Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate courses, i.e. CUET PG 2026. CUET PG is a computer-based examination conducted to facilitate admission into postgraduate programmes offered by Central Universities and other participating institutions across India and abroad.
Managed by the NTA, this test provides a unified platform for candidates aiming to pursue higher education in various disciplines. The exam is designed to ensure quality higher education accessibility to all aspirants for the academic session 2026-27. Candidates can apply online and appear for the CUET (PG) in one of 292 cities, including 16 international locations.

Eligibility Criteria
- There is no age restriction for applying to CUET PG 2026. However, candidates must meet the age requirements of the university they wish to attend.
- Applicants should have completed a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Students in their final semester of undergraduate studies are also eligible to apply.
- Since each university has specific eligibility criteria, candidates are advised to consult the respective university’s website for detailed requirements before applying.
Selection Process
Admission to postgraduate programmes through CUET PG 2026 is based on the candidate’s performance in the computer-based test conducted by NTA. The selection sequence includes examination, display of recorded responses and answer keys, followed by admissions as per the university criteria.
Exam Pattern
- CUET PG 2026 will be conducted exclusively in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
- The medium of the question paper will be English and Hindi (Bilingual) except for languages, M.Tech/ Higher Sciences, and Acharya papers (except Hindu Studies, Baudha Dharshan, and Indian Knowledge System).
- Language papers will be presented in the respective language, except for Linguistics, which will be in English.
- Candidates may select up to four question paper codes.
- The test will comprise 75 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with a total duration of 90 minutes.
- Each correct answer will earn 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

- First of all, candidates need to visit the official website by clicking on the link given below.
- Next, click on the button given for registration of new candidates.
- Read all the instructions shown and go through the information bulletin to ensure that you meet the eligibility conditions.
- Then, check the tick mark and click on the proceed button to reach the registration portal
- Enter your basic details and get registered.
- Log in to the application portal and enter personal details, address info, and academic details and then choose the preferred city for the exam centre.
- Now, choose the preferred programme and institute and review the list of test papers you wish to appear in CUET PG 2026.
- Upload the necessary documents, preview the complete form and submit it.
- Lastly, pay the application fees and download the application form & payment receipt for future reference.

The examination fee must be paid online by the last date, 14th January 2026, through credit/ debit card, net banking, or UPI.
