DEE Recruitment 2025: The Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam (DEE) has released two advertisements for recruitment of 4500 eligible candidates for teaching vacancies in Lower Primary and Upper Primary schools across Assam. The application portal for the same will open from the 15th of February, 2025.

The district-wise, medium-wise, and category-wise vacancy details, including reservations for various groups, will be notified later, pending approval of the Post-Based Roster and vacant posts from the relevant departments.

Pay Scale

The candidates selected for teaching vacancies under DEE Recruitment 2025 will get their salary under Pay Band-2 @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”.

Eligibility

The candidate applying for DEE Recruitment 2025 must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be a permanent resident of Assam.
The candidate applying for LP and UP teacher will need to have passed ATET/ CTET for Lower Primary School and Upper Primary School respectively.
One of the languages (Language-I or Language-II) of both ATET and CTET candidates must match the medium of instruction of the school they wish to apply to.
Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years for the unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/ MOBC and 45 years for SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H) and 50 years for Persons with Disability (PwD) as on 1st January 2025.
No person having more than two living children on or after 01/01/2021 from single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment under DEE Recruitment 2025 as per the Govt. policy on Small Family Norms.

Educational Qualification

To apply for vacancies of Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher in Upper Primary Schools, the candidates need to have the following educational qualifications:

Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent)
Graduate from the UGC recognized University for Assistant Teacher, B. Sc. for Science Teacher, and Graduate with Hindi to apply for Hindi Teacher
2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education
Assam TET or CTET for Upper Primary School
Non-Essential: NCC Certificate, Certificate of participation/ achievement in recognized sports at National Level or beyond representing State or Nation, Proof for participation/ achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing State at National Level or Beyond representing State or Nation (Organised by recognized institutions)

Whereas, to apply for vacancies of Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary Schools under DEE Recruitment 2025, the candidates need to have the following educational qualifications:

Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks
2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Assam TET or CTET for Lower Primary
Non-Essential: NCC Certificate, Certificate of participation/ achievement in recognized sports at National Level or beyond representing State or Nation, Proof for participation/ achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing State at National Level or Beyond representing State or Nation (Organised by recognized institutions)
Any graduates who fulfills the above criteria are eligible to apply. However, no marks will be awarded for Graduation.
