DME Assam Recruitment: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) released a new notification on the 18th of August, 2024 and informed about adding new vacancies to the existing advertisements, published on the 1st and 20th of February, 2023. This step is taken because new Grade III (Technical) posts are open in Tinsukia Medical College & Hospital, Tinsukia.
Earlier, in February 2023, a total of 2008 vacancies were announced comprising both Grade III and Grade IV posts in medical colleges and hospitals situated at Nagaon, Nalbari, Kokrajhar, and Dhubri. The form fillup for the same had started on the 7th of February, 2023 and closed on the 28th of February 2023.
Hereby, the reopened online application process of DME Assam Recruitment is specifically for filling the Grade III (Technical) vacancies at the newly established Tinsukia Medical College and Hospital. Candidates should note that the application portal is already open from the 20th of August and candidates have time upto the 31st of August to apply for the same. Applicants who had already applied in 2023 are not required to apply again.
Vacancies
DME has not yet released the revised matrix of posts after the addition of vacancies in Tinsukia Medical College & Hospital. As per the notification released in February 2023, the vacancies were:

Eligibility
To apply for the DME Assam Recruitment, the candidates need to fulfil the following criteria:
- The candidates must be citizens of India.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 years and 40 years of age. The age limit for applicants will be calculated as of January 1, 2024.
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC/ MOBC – 3 years
- ST/ SC – 5 years
- PwD – 10 years
- The candidates must be registered in any of the Employment Exchanges of Assam.
- The minimum Education Qualification for each vacancy is different, so candidates need to check them in the advertisement before applying.
