IBPS RRB Notification 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the CRP RRBs XV notification for recruitment to Group “A” Officers and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in participating Regional Rural Banks. The online registration process has started on 1st September 2026 and will continue up to 21st September 2026. Eligibility
Age Limit
The age limit of the candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 is calculated as of 1st September 2026 and must meet the following criteria:
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 18 to 28 years. Candidates should have been born between 2nd September 1998 and 1st September 2008.
- Officer Scale-I: Above 18 years and below 30 years. Candidates should have been born between 2nd September 1996 and 1st September 2008.
- Officer Scale-II: Above 21 years and below 32 years. Candidates should have been born between 2nd September 1994 and 1st September 2005.
- Officer Scale-III: Above 21 years and below 40 years. Candidates should have been born between 2nd September 1986 and 1st September 2005.
Note: Age relaxation is available for eligible reserved categories including SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwBD and Ex-Servicemen, as prescribed in the notification.
Educational Qualification
The candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 must have the following educational details:
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent. Proficiency in the local language prescribed by the participating RRB is required. Working knowledge of computers is desirable.
- Officer Scale-I: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Preference is given to candidates with degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy. Local language proficiency and working knowledge of computers are specified.
- Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- Officer Scale-II (IT Officer): Degree in Electronics/Communication, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent, with at least 50% marks.
- Officer Scale-II (Chartered Accountant): Chartered Accountant qualification as prescribed.
- Officer Scale-II (Law Officer): Law degree with at least 50% marks.
- Officer Scale-II (Treasury Manager): Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance.
- Officer Scale-II (Marketing Officer): MBA in Marketing.
- Officer Scale-II (Agricultural Officer): Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering or Pisciculture, with at least 50% marks.
- Officer Scale-III: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
Nationality
A candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from the countries specified in the notification, subject to the prescribed eligibility certificate requirements.

Selection Process
The selection process for various posts under A candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 is given in detail:
- For Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the selection process consists of the Preliminary Examination followed by the Main Examination. Candidates shortlisted after the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination. Provisional allotment will be based on Main Examination marks and the actual vacancies reported by the RRBs.
- For Officer Scale-I, candidates have to qualify in the Preliminary and Main Examinations before appearing for the Common Interview.
- For Officer Scale-II and Scale-III, candidates will appear for a Single Online Examination followed by the Common Interview.
- The interviews for Officer Scale-I, II and III are tentatively scheduled for January/February 2027.

A penalty of one-fourth mark is applicable for each wrong answer in the online examinations. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

Candidates applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 should keep the documents required under the notification and its scanning guidelines ready. These include:

Note: A candidate can apply for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) as well as one post in the Officer cadre. A candidate cannot apply for more than one Officer post. Separate applications and fees are required for each post applied for.
