Educational and Training Qualification
- Candidates must have passed the Recorder Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training from the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40.
- Candidates must have been declared proficient in the mandated examination, in both Survey and Settlement subjects, through an official result declared by the Director of Land Records & Surveys, Assam, prior to the commencement of Government Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13th August 2026.
Computer Proficiency
- Candidates must have proficiency in the use of computers, with a minimum typing speed of 30 WPM in English and 15 WPM in Assamese/ Bengali.
Age Limit
- Candidates should be at least 21 years and not more than 40 years of age as on 1st January 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Government OM No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 2nd September 2020; candidates from these categories may check the official notification for the complete relaxation details.
- The age of candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Class-X/ Class-XII Examination Admit Card, Pass Certificate, or Mark sheet issued by a recognised Central/ State Board or Council, where the age or Date of Birth is clearly mentioned.
Candidates already in Central/ State Government service must apply through the proper channel and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective Head of Department at the time of document verification.

- Selection will be made on the basis of a Written Examination followed by a Skill Test, subject to candidates securing the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in both components and fulfilling all eligibility conditions at the time of document verification.
- The final merit list will be prepared on the aggregate marks of both components, strictly as per merit and applicable category-wise reservation. Mere availability of vacancies does not entitle any candidate to selection, and posts may remain unfilled if sufficient eligible candidates are not available.
