In the latest official letter released by the Higher Education Department, Assam, Smti. Kabita Deka, (ACS, Additional Secretary of the Govt. of Assam, Higher Education Department) has written a letter to the Director of Higher Education of Assam proposing the creation of 75 numbers of Assistant Professors in Arts Stream in 5 Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhaya Adarsh Mahavidyalaya (PDDUAM) situated in different districts of Assam.
The 5 colleges are namely-
- PDDUAM, Behali, Biswanath.
- PDDUAM, Amjonga, Goalpara.
- PDDUAM, Eraligool, Karimganj
- PDDUAM, Dalgaon, Darrang.
- PDDUAM, Tulungia, Bongaingaon.

The notice mentions that the creation of the 75 new posts of Assistant Professor is for the opening of Arts Stream in all the above-mentioned 5 colleges in different subjects with pay scale ranging from 57,700/- to 1,82,400/- (as per Academic level 10)
