GAT-B 2025: In an official notification released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the details of the upcoming Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology, i.e. GAT-B 2025, have been published. This national-level entrance examination encourages affirmation to postgraduate programmes in Biotechnology and united areas, supported by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT). The registration portal is open from the 3rd of February 2025 and will close at 05:00 PM on the 3rd of March 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who want to apply for the GAT-B 2025 should note that NTA has not set any common eligibility conditions for this entrance examination.
- Candidates must meet the specific eligibility criteria set by the respective participating institutions or universities, as mentioned in Appendix II of the Information Bulletin.
Exam Pattern
- The Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology or GAT-B 2025 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
- The question paper will have 2 sections.
- Section A will contain 60 compulsory multiple-choice questions.
- Questions will be on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology from class 12th level.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- There will be a negative marking, and 0.5 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Section B will consist of multiple-choice questions at the Bachelor’s (Graduate) level, requiring thinking and analytical skills.
- Questions will be based on Basic Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and related areas as per the GAT-B 2025 syllabus.
- There will be 100 questions, out of which candidates must attempt 60.
- Each question will carry 3 marks.
- 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- The medium of the question paper for admission to GAT- B 2025 will be English only.
- Candidates will get 180 minutes to complete the paper.
