Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The age of candidates must be between 18 and 33 years as of 1st January 2026 for all posts advertised under RRB NTPC Recruitment 2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules:
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 to 15 years depending on category
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 to 8 years based on community
- Group C and erstwhile Group D Railway staff with minimum 3 years service: upto 40-45 years

Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a degree from a recognised university or its equivalent by the closing date of application submission (20th November 2025).
- Typing proficiency in English or Hindi on a computer is essential for posts that require typing skills, such as Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist and Senior Clerk Cum Typist.
Medical Standards
The posts have specified medical fitness standards covering vision and physical fitness. Candidates must ensure they meet medical requirements relevant to the post applied, such as Class A2 or C2 vision standards. Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery are eligible for some posts under certain conditions. Persons unable to meet the medical standards will not be considered for appointment.
Selection Process

Exam Pattern
- 1st Stage CBT lasts 90 minutes (120 minutes for scribe-eligible candidates) with 100 objective questions covering General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning.
- 2nd Stage CBT consists of 120 questions in 90 minutes, covering similar subjects with a higher number of questions and marks.
- CBAT qualification requires a minimum T-score of 42 marks in each test battery for Station Master/Traffic Assistant posts, with no relaxation.
- CBTST requires typing speed of 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on a computer without editing tools.
