Eligibility Criteria for Group CISO
- Candidates applying for the Group CISO post under the SBI Specialist Cadre Officer Recruitment 2026 must hold a B.Tech/ B.E. in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Cyber Security, or an equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks, or an MCA, or an M.Tech/ M.Sc in the same disciplines, from a University/ Institution recognised by the Government of India.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCISO, and CISA are preferred and must be valid as on the date of interview.
- Candidates must have 15-20 years of post-qualification experience in Information Technology/ Information Security in Banks, Large Corporates, PSUs, FIs, Financial Services Organisations, or Financial & Technology Consulting firms, of which a minimum of 5 years must be in the core domain of Information Security/ Cyber Security/ Cyber Defence in Banks/ FIs at Senior Management Level. Candidates who have earlier worked as CISO or Deputy CISO would be preferred.
- Teaching and training experience will not be counted towards eligibility.
Selection Process for Group CISO
Selection under this leg of the SBI Specialist Cadre Officer Recruitment 2026 comprises shortlisting followed by an interview that includes a 10-minute presentation by shortlisted candidates on their relevant job profile, projects undertaken, and milestones achieved. - Regional Head: Graduate, with similar preferred qualifications; minimum 12+ years in relationship management, including 5+ years leading a large team.
- Relationship Manager-Team Lead: Graduate; minimum 8 years in relationship management, preferably in wealth management.
- Investment Specialist (IS): PG Degree/ Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Capital Markets, Banking, Insurance, or Actuarial Science, or CA/ CFA; minimum 6 years’ post-qualification experience as an investment advisor/ counsellor/ officer in Wealth Management Firms/ AMCs.
- Investment Officer (IO): Same qualification stream as Investment Specialist; minimum 4 years’ relevant experience.
- VP Wealth: Graduate; 6 years in sales & marketing with leading banks/ wealth management firms/ AMCs.

The suggested place of posting for both grades is Hyderabad and Kolkata, though the Bank reserves the right to post selected candidates anywhere in India.
Eligibility Criteria for Trade Finance Officer
Candidates applying under this part of the SBI Specialist Cadre Officer Recruitment 2026 must be Graduates (any discipline) from a Government-recognised University or Institution, along with Certification in Forex Operations from IIBF (dated on or before 31.07.2026). Preferred certifications include CDCS or CSDG by LIBF, CTFP by ICC Academy, or GTC/ CITF/ IIBF certificates in International Trade Finance.
- TFO-IBG / JMGS-I: Age 21-30 years; minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing and operations, preferably in a maker role.
- TFO-IBG / MMGS-II: Age 23-32 years; minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in Trade Finance processing in an Officer/ Official role.
Both roles will require candidates to work in rotational shifts, including a night shift, as fixed by the Bank.
Selection Process for Trade Finance Officer
Selection is based on shortlisting followed by an interview carrying 100 marks. The merit list is prepared in descending order of interview scores, with age used as a tie-breaker at the cut-off. Selected candidates will be placed on a 6-month probation period.
