AESRB Recruitment 2025: Teaching vacancies open in Technical & Non-Technical Departments

AESRB Recruitment 2025: The Assam Engineering Service Recruitment Board (AESRB) has recently released the announcement for the recruitment of sixty teaching positions. The vacancies are released against the post of the Assistant Professors that are available in various technical and non-technical departments.

Vacancies

Technical posts: 6 departments

Non-Technical posts: 01 department

Pay Scale

The elected candidates for both Technical and Non-Technical positions in AESRB Recruitment 2025 will receive a salary within the Level 10 Pay Matrix, ranging from ₹ 57,700 to ₹ 1,82,400, in addition to applicable allowances.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• The candidate’s age should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relaxable upto:
  • 5 (five) years for SC/ STP/ STH candidates i.e. upto 43 years.
  • 3 (three) years for OBC/ MOBC candidates i.e. upto 41 years and
  • 10 (ten) years for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates i.e. upto 48 years irrespective of SC/ ST/ OBC and General Category candidates.

Educational Qualification

• The educational qualification of the candidates under AESRB Recruitment 2025 applying for the given department (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering) must have B.E./ B. Tech./ B.S. (4-year Degree course) and M.E./ M. Tech./ M.S. or integrated M. Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.
• The educational qualification of the candidates applying for the post in the Computer Application department must have B.E./ B. Tech./ B.S. (4-year Degree course) and M.E./ M. Tech./ M.S. or integrated M. Tech in relevant branch with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees OR
  • B.E./ B. Tech. and MCA with First Class or equivalent in any one of the two degrees OR
  • Graduation of three years’ duration with Mathematics as a compulsory subject and MCA with First Class or equivalent with 2 years of teaching/ research/ industrial experience after acquiring degree of MCA.
• The educational qualification of the candidates under AESRB Recruitment 2025 applying in the Mathematics department shall be as per the UGC Notification No. F.1-2/2017(EC/ PS) dated 18th July, 2018 and UGC guidelines issued from time to time

Note: Candidates who have done Ph.D. after the Bachelor’s Degree from institution of National importance with GATE/ CEED shall be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor.

Selection procedure

The selection procedure of the candidates applying under AESRB Recruitment 2025 must follow the given steps:

1. OMR-MCQ Based Written Examination:

• Nature: OMR-MCQ (Optical Mark Recognition – Multiple Choice Questions) based.
• Total Marks: 75 Marks.
• Number of Questions: 75 questions.
• Marking Scheme:
  • 1 (one) mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
  • Negative marking of 0.25 (one-fourth) marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

2. Teaching Proficiency Test:

• Total Marks: 25 Marks.
• Eligibility: Only candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the OMR-MCQ based Written Examination will be called for this test

Documents Required

• Scanned passport size photo
• Scanned signature
• Proof of fee payment
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) for employed candidates
• All the relevant educational certificates from 10th standard to Master’s/ Ph.D.
• NET/ SLET score card
• Caste/ PWD certificates (if applicable)

• First, visit the application portal given below & click on “Apply now” section.
• Click on “New Registration” and register using a valid email ID and mobile number.
• Fill in basic details to generate login credentials.
• After receiving the login credentials, login to your profile to apply for the various posts.
• Select the desired post(s) and fill all the required details.
• Next, upload scanned copies of the relevant documents.
• Pay the application fees and save it for later use.
• Preview the application and submit
