Water Resources Department Recruitment 2025: Apply now for 160 Junior Engineer vacancy

The Assam Public Commission Service (APSC) has released an official notification with ADVT No. 14/2025, inviting online applications for the Junior Engineer (JE) positions under the Water Resources Department Recruitment 2025, Govt. of Assam. Eligible candidates can submit their applications on or before May 16th, 2025, after going through all the details related to the recruitment drive in this article.

Vacancies

The APSC is looking to recruit a total of 160 candidates for the vacancies of Junior Engineers against the advertisement of Water Resources Department Recruitment 2025. The category-wise breakdown of vacancies is given below:

Pay Scale

The candidate selected under the Water Resources Department Recruitment 2025 for JE positions will receive a pay of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- with a Grade pay of Rs. 8,700/- under the Pay Band – 2 category.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• The candidates must have a 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or civil and planning from any technical institute recognized by AICTE.
• The Diploma course in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology must be a regular full-time course. Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Construction Technology obtained through distance mode education degrees are not accepted.

Age Limit

• The candidates applying for JE positions under Water Resources Department Recruitment 2025 should be between 18 years & 40 years of age as of 01/01/2025.
• Age Relaxations-
  • OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
  • SC/ ST: 5 years
  • PwBD:10 years

Other Criteria

• Candidates must possess a valid Employment Exchange Card from the government of Assam.
• Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.
• Candidates must submit a Small Family Norms Declaration Form.

• Employment Exchange of Assam Certificate
• Caste Certificate (if any)
• Identity Proof
• For Government employees, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the current employer

• Next, click on the button given for New Registration
• Then, candidates will have to register by providing their mobile number and email, along with other personal details
• Based on the above information, the registration number will be generated
• However, if the candidate has previously registered in APSC’s recruitment portal, they can use the old credentials
• After successful registration, candidates must log in using the credentials and fill out the online application form
• Enter all the details as directed and upload the essential documents
• After this, the candidate must complete the application form by paying the application fee
