A total of 20 vacancies are available in the office of the Assam Public Service Commission. Pay Scale
The pay scale for the APSC Grade IV Recruitment 2025 is Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 52,000 with a grade pay of Rs. 3,900 under Pay Band-1. Candidates will also be entitled to other allowances as admissible to Assam State Government employees from time to time.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates applying under APSC Grade IV Recruitment 2025 must be between 18 and 40 years as of 1st January 2025. Age relaxation applies as follows:
- 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates (up to 45 years)
- 3 years relaxation for OBC/MOBC, Tea Tribe & Adivasi Community candidates (up to 43 years)
- 10 years relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (irrespective of category)
Note: Candidate must be an Indian citizen and permanent resident of Assam.
Educational Qualification
The minimum educational qualification is passing Class VIII, and the maximum limit is HSSLC (Class 12) or equivalent. Candidates with educational qualifications higher than Class 12 as on the application date are not eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection for APSC Grade IV Recruitment 2025 consists of two phases:
- Phase I – Screening Test: OMR-based multiple choice questions to shortlist candidates. The test covers Arithmetic, General Knowledge (Assam specific), Reasoning, Social Science, Science, and Elementary English.
- Phase II – Interview: Candidates shortlisted from Phase I will be called for an interview considering reservation policies in a 1:5 ratio.
Exam Pattern
The APSC Grade IV Recruitment 2025 exam pattern consists of questions based on Class VI to VIII standards, with the screening test lasting 2 hours and carrying 100 marks. The test includes subjects like Arithmetic, Assam General Knowledge, Reasoning, Social Science, Science and Elementary English.

- Use a valid email ID and mobile number for registration.
- Login with registered credentials and fill in all required details carefully.

- Review all details and confirm by ticking the declaration checkbox before final submission.
- Pay the processing fee through the online gateway (Rs.47.20 as per CSC-SPV charges).
- Take a printout of the submitted application form for future reference.
