AFMS Recruitment 2025: The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has released the notification for the SSC Medical Officer (Short Service Commissioned) post. This recruitment drive is now live for 400 vacancies. The online application process for Armed Forces AFMS SSC Medical Officer Recruitment 2025 has started from 19 April 2025 & the candidates can apply till 12 May 2025.

Vacancies
- A total of 400 vacancies are open for the SSC Medical Officer under the AFMS Recruitment 2025.
- 300 of these posts are for male candidates, and the remaining 100 are for female candidates.
Pay Scale
The candidates selected for SSC Medical Officer positions will receive pay level 10B of the Defence Pay Matrix of BP Rs. 61300 + MSP Rs. 15500, along with other allowances like HRA, NPA, Transport Allowance, and Dress Allowance.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed the final MBBS (Part I and II) exam in not more than two attempts and have also appeared in the NEET PG exam in either 2023 or 2024.
- Civilian doctors with postgraduate degrees do not need to take NEET PG again.
- Only those candidates who have completed/ completed their internship on or before 15 Aug 2025 can apply.
Age Limit
- The candidate must not have attained the age of 30 years as of 31 December 2025, if holding an MBBS degree (i.e., only those born on or after 02 January 1996 are eligible).
- The candidate must not have attained the age of 35 years as of 31 December 2025, if holding a Postgraduate (PG) degree (i.e., only those born on or after 02 January 1991 are eligible).
Other Criteria
Candidates must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI/ NMC to apply for the SSC Medical Officer positions under the AFMS Recruitment 2025.

How to apply for the AFMS Recruitment 2025?
- First, click the ‘Online recruitment Portal’ link given below
- Next, click on the button given for New Registration
- Then, candidates will have to register by providing their mobile number & email ID along with other personal details
- Based on the above information, the registration number will be generated
- After successful registration, candidates must log in using the credentials and fill out the online application form
- Enter all the details as directed and upload the essential documents
- After this, the candidate must complete the application form by paying the application fee
- Then, the candidate must preview the application form and click on the “submit” button
- Lastly, take a printout of the payment receipt and application form of AFMS Recruitment 2025 for future reference
Application Fee
The candidates will have to pay Rs. 200/- as an application fee for all category candidates, and the payment mode will be online.
