The National Testing Agency has finally released the provisional Answer Keys of NEET UG-2022, along with the scanned images of the OMR Answer Sheet and the Recorded Responses. All the candidates who appeared in the entrance test this year can now download the same by visiting the official website – neet.nta.nic.in.
As per the recent notification released on the 25th of August, NTA was planning to release the answer keys by 30th of August, however, it got delayed by a day. In the same notification, NTA has mentioned that the results of NEET UG-2022 will be out by the 7th of September, 2022.

How to download answer keys?
- Visit the official website of NEET UG-2022
- Click on the link saying ‘Answer Key, Scanned Image of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Response Challenge’
- Now choose any one of the given login options, that is using your Application Number and Password, or by using Application Number and Date of Birth
- Next, enter your details and click on the ‘Sign in’ button
- Scroll down and check out your recorded response and the provisional answer keys by going to the respective links given
Steps to challenge Answer Keys
Any candidate who is not satisfied with the provisional answer keys announced by NTA can now challenge the Answer Keys by paying Rs. 200 per answer. Here are the steps they will need to follow:
- Visit the official website- neet.nta.nic.in
- Go to the link saying ‘Answer Key, Scanned Image of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Response Challenge’
- Now login to the application portal and then click on ‘Apply for Answer Key Challenge’
- There you will see all the 200 questions in sequential order as 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology
- Alongside it, a number will be displayed under the “Correct Option” column, which represents the provisional answer key of that respective question
- Next, if you wish to challenge this option, you should select any one or more of the Options given in the next four columns by clicking on the corresponding check box
- You can also upload the supporting documents that stand for your claim (please note that all the documents are required to be put in a single pdf file)
- Once done, click on the save option and preview all the challenges made by you
- Lastly, pay the processing fee of ₹ 200/- for each question challenged and then download the Answer Key Challenge Receipt of NEET UG-2022
Steps to Challenge the Recorded Responses
On the other hand, if a candidate is not satisfied and wishes to challenge the OMR Answer Sheet Grading and their Recorded Responses, they can do so by following the steps mentioned below:
- Visit the official website of NEET UG-2022- neet.nta.nic.in
- Go to the link saying ‘Answer Key, Scanned Image of OMR Answer Sheet and Recorded Response Challenge’
- Now login to the application portal and then click on the link for challenging the Recorded Responses
- There you will see all the 200 questions in sequential order as 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology
- Alongside it, a number will be displayed under the “Captured Responses” column, which represents the answer marked by you in the OMR Sheets
- If you wish to challenge the same, select a question for the challenge, and then choose the options given in the ‘Candidate’s claim’ column
- Once done, click on the save option and preview all the challenges made by you
- Lastly, pay the processing fee of ₹ 200/- for each question challenged and then download the Challenge Receipt generated
Announcement of Results
As per the last notification (released on 25th August 2022), it is expected that the results of NEET UG-2022 will be declared by the 7th of September 2022 after solving all the requests/ challenges received against the provisional answer keys and recorded responses in the next 2 days. Before publishing the scorecards of NEET UG-2022, NTA will also release the final Answer Keys, after considering the challenges received and rectifying them.
Important Notes
- The last date to challenge the Answer Key & Recorded Response is the 2nd of September, 2022.
- Once the challenges are received, a panel of Subject matter experts will verify the same and will revise the provisional answer keys, if required.
- After the completion of the process, NTA will release the results of NEET UG-2022 based on the final answer key and no further challenge will be entertained.
- Also, NTA will not notify or inform any individual candidate about the acceptance/ non-acceptance of his/her challenge.
