UPSC Recruitment 2022: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released a notification on October 22nd, 2022, inviting Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) for 15 Posts. The last date to apply is November 10, 2022.
This UPSC Recruitment 2022 drive will aim to fill up 12 vacancies for the post of Investigator Grade 1 (Grade B) out of 15 posts. There will be three posts under the Grade A category, one each for an Extension officer, Junior Scientific Officer (Biology), and Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry).

UPSC Recruitment 2022: Vacancies Available & Details
Various posts whose vacancies are present under UPSC Recruitment 2022 are given in detail:
(i) Extension Officer
- Department: Directorate of Extension, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare
- No. of Posts: 01
- The post is permanent and of General Central Service Group “A” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
- Pay Scale: The pay scale is of level 10 in the pay matrix as per the 7th CPC.
Eligibility
- Suitable for candidates belonging to the category of Person with Benchmark Disability.
- Age must not exceed 38 years.
- MBA with a bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a recognized university
- Master’s Degree in Rural Management or agricultural business management or vegetable sciences or Horticulture or agricultural extension or Agro-Forestry or degree in agriculture engineering from any recognized university.
- 1 Year of experience in Agricultural Extension Work in the Central or State Government or autonomous body or public sector undertaking.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetian Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962. Also, a person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African Countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(ii) Junior Scientific Officer (Biology)
- Department: Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory, Directorate of Forensic Sciences Service
- No. of Posts: 01
- The post is permanent and of General Central Service Group “B” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
- Pay Scale: The pay scale is of level 07 in the pay matrix as per the 7th CPC.
Eligibility
- Suitable for candidates with Benchmark Disability.
- The maximum age limit is 30 years.
- Master’s Degree in Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Physical Anthrolopoly, Genetics, or Forensic Science with Botany or Zoology as one of the subjects during all 3 years of graduation from any recognized University.
- B.E or B.Tech in Biotechnology from any recognized university.
- 3 years experience in research and analytical work in the field of Biology in any central or state organization or recognized institute or university under Central or state government.
(iii) Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry)
- Department: Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Directorate of Forensic Science Service
- No. of Posts: 01
- The post is permanent and of General Central Service Group “B” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
- Pay Scale: The pay scale is of level 07 in the pay matrix as per the 7th CPC.
Eligibility
- Suitable for candidates belonging to Benchmark Disability.
- The maximum age limit is 30 years.
- Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Associateship diploma of the institute of Chemist by examination(applicable only for departmental scientists available on the date of notification) or Biochemistry or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects during all 3 years of BSc from any recognized University.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetian Refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962. Also, a person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African Countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(iv) Investigator Grade-I
- Department: Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour and Employment
- No. of Posts: 12
- The post is permanent and of General Central Service Group “B” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
- Pay Scale: The pay scale is of level 07 in the pay matrix as per the 7th CPC.
Eligibility
- Out of the 12 vacancies,2 are reserved for People with Benchmark disabilities.
- Post-graduate Degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from any recognized university.
- Post Graduate Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Commerce with one paper in Economics from a recognized University.
How to apply for various posts under UPSC Recruitment 2022?
- First of all, candidates should visit the official website of UPSC
- Candidates then shall upload all the relevant documents in support of the claims made by them while filling the application form in a pdf file that does not exceed 1MB
- Candidates who wish to apply for more than 1 post under UPSC Recruitment 2022 shall apply separately for each position and pay the fees for the same
- After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) candidates are advised to take a printout of the finally submitted ORA
Application Fees
- The candidates are allowed to pay Rs 25 only either by using net banking or Debit Card or by remitting the money in any branch of SBI by cash
- No fee shall be paid by SC/ ST/ PwBD or women candidates of any community under UPSC Recruitment 2022
- No fee exemption is available for Gen/ OBC/ EWS male candidates
- The fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination
