Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

The Candidates applying under POWERGRID Recruitment 2025 must have upper age must be upto 28 years as on 07.08.2024 .

Age Relaxation: Relaxation in Upper Age Limit is as mentioned below.

• OBC/ NCL: 3 years
• SC/ ST: 5 years
• PwBD-UR/EWS: 10 years
• PwBD-OBC(NCL: 13 years
• PwBD-SC/ST: 15 years

Educational Qualification

The candidates applying under POWERGRID Recruitment 2025 must have following educational qualification:

1. Field Engineer (Electrical)

• Full-time B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg.) in Electrical discipline or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 55% marks.
• Post Qualification Experience:
  Should have one year post-qualification experience in Design / Engineering / Construction / Testing & Commissioning in areas such as:
  • Rural Electrification (RE)
  • Distribution Management System (DMS)
  • Sub Transmission (ST)
  • Transmission Lines (TLs)
  • Sub-Stations (S/S)
    Preference will be given to candidates with experience in PSUs / Listed companies in the power sector.

2. Field Engineer (Civil)

• Full-time B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engg.) in Civil discipline or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute with minimum 55% marks.
• Post Qualification Experience:
  Should have one year post-qualification experience in Design/ Engineering/ Construction/ Testing & Commissioning in areas such as:
  • Rural Electrification (RE)
  • Distribution Management System (DMS)
  • Sub Transmission (ST)
  • Transmission Lines (TLs)
  • Sub-Stations (S/S)
    Preference will be given to candidates with experience in PSUs/ Listed companies in the power sector.

3. Field Supervisor (Electrical)

• Full-Time Diploma in Electrical or equivalent discipline from a recognized Technical Board/Institute with minimum 55% marks.Note: Candidates with higher qualifications (B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/ME etc., with or without Diploma) are not eligible.
• Post Qualification Experience:
  Should have one year post-qualification experience in Design/ Engineering/ Construction/ Testing & Commissioning in areas such as:
  • Rural Electrification (RE)
  • Distribution Management System (DMS)
  • Sub Transmission (ST)
  • Transmission Lines (TLs)
  • Sub-Stations (S/S)
    Preference will be given to candidates with experience in PSUs/ Listed companies in the power sector

• Full-Time Diploma in Electrical/ Electronics & Communication/ Information Technology or equivalent discipline from a recognized Technical Board/Institute with minimum 55% marks.Note: Higher technical qualifications (B.Tech/ BE/ M.Tech/ ME, etc., with or without Diploma) are not allowed.
• Post Qualification Experience:
  Should have one year post-qualification experience in:
  • Design/ Engineering
  • Construction
  • Testing & Commissioning
  • Operation & Maintenance of Telecommunication Systems

Documents Required

• Valid e-mail ID and mobile number
• Recent passport size color photograph (100-200 KB in jpg/jpeg)
• Scanned signature (80-150 KB in jpg/ jpeg)
• Valid photo ID proof issued by Central/ State Government
• Certificates/ marksheets of Class X, XII, and Graduation
• Caste/ EWS/ Ex-serviceman certificates as applicable
• Discharge certificate for ex-servicemen, if applicable
