Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the students applying under SSUHS BSc Nursing Admission 2026 is given as follows:
For B.Sc Nursing
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
- Permanent Resident Certificate is mandatory for admission into government institutes of Assam.
- Only female candidates are eligible for government institutes.
- Minimum age is 17 years as of 31st December 2026; maximum age limit is 35 years.
- Must have passed 10+2 (HS) science with at least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology combined, and pass marks in English.
- Candidates from State Open School and NIOS with science subjects and English are eligible.
- Colour blind candidates may apply if wearing corrective lenses or spectacles.
- Medical fitness is mandatory.
- Married candidates are also eligible.
For Pharmacy Courses
- Indian citizenship and Permanent Resident Certificate for government institutes.
- Passed 10+2 Science or equivalent with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and/or Mathematics without grace marks.
- Not eligible if 10+2 qualification is from non-formal or non-classroom schooling like NIOS for B.Pharm course.
- Must pass theory and practical exams individually.
- Minimum age of 17 years by 31st December 2026.
- Medical fitness required.
For Allied & Healthcare Courses
- Indian citizenship and Permanent Resident Certificate for government institutes of Assam (exceptions for children of government employees).
- Minimum qualification: 10+2 Science or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 45% aggregate for General category, 40% for OBC/MOBC(NCL)/SC/ST categories.
- Passed theory and practical exams in individual subjects.
- Medical fitness mandatory.
- Minimum age 17 years as of 31st December 2026.
Selection Process
Selection for SSUHS BSc Nursing Admission 2026 and other courses is based on the Common Entrance Examination conducted by SSUHS. Merit lists will be prepared according to total marks obtained in the entrance test. Tie-breakers will be decided based on marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English in that order, including qualifying exam marks if needed. Reserved category candidates must provide original certificates at counselling.
Exam Pattern / Admission Test Details
- The entrance exam for the selection of the candidates under SSUHS BSc Nursing Admission 2026 will be held on 7th June 2026 from 10 AM to 12 Noon.
- One paper with 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs) covering English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics.
- B.Sc Nursing aspirants must choose English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- Pharmacy course candidates must choose English, Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics.

Steps to Apply
- Visit the SSUHS official website when the application window opens.
- Fill the online application form carefully, following all instructions.
- Pay the non-refundable entrance examination fee online via the payment gateway.
- Submit the application form online within the stipulated dates.
- Keep a record of the application number and password for downloading the admit card.
- Download admit card from 20th May 2026 onwards using login credentials.
Fee Structure
The entrance examination fee details will be declared later. It must be paid online during form submission. The fee is non-refundable. Candidates from the PwD (Divyang) category under SSUHS BSc Nursing Admission 2026 with 40% or more disability are exempted from the exam fee.
