Salary/Benefits/Pay Scale
The pay scale under APSC Home Guard recruitment 2026 for the Class-I Home Guards post ranges from Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 97,000 with a grade pay of Rs. 11,800 under Pay Band – 3. Usual allowances admissible to Assam State Government employees will also be provided.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years of age as of 1st January 2026. Age relaxations apply as follows:

- OBC/MOBC: up to 41 years

Exam Pattern/Admission Test Details

- Paper II: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (200 marks). Essay can be written in English or Assamese; other components must be answered in English.
- Minimum qualifying marks will be set for each paper. Paper I will be evaluated first.
- Physical Efficiency Test includes 100 meters race, 800 meters race, and long jump with prescribed minimum standards.
- Medical tests must meet the detailed medical standards specified for the post.
- Interview/Personality Test carries 50 marks.
