Big boost for education as Assam Cabinet approves provincialisation of 419 primary schools. CM Sarma informs more high school will be added as well.

The Assam Government on Tuesday took a significant step as the Assam Cabinet approves provincialisation of 419 primary schools under Tea Garden-managed area in the state. In a tweet, Ranoj Pegu informed that the decision was made during a discussion regarding the provincialisation of Lower Primary (LP), Middle English (ME), and High Schools. It has been passed by the cabinet and there has also been the inclusion of new posts in these schools, the Minister gave information through Twitter.

Ranoj Pegu wrote, ” Following the historic cabinet decision, Assam Govt. has provincialized 419 Tea Garden managed schools. These schools will now receive MDM, uniforms, Free Textbooks, and Govt. Teachers. Thanks to the Chief Minister for his vision and mission of inclusive development.”

Apart from the current inclusion where the Assam Cabinet approves provincialisation of 419 primary schools, in another decision taken, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma conveyed the information through Twitter that 219 new high schools will be established in tea garden areas. This will be a boost to rural education in the state.
