APSC Mains preponed; aspirants in distress as it will now coincide with other exams

Candidates who have qualified in the prelims examination are now tensed, as APSC has preponed the APSC Mains examination.

APSC Mains: On April 12th, 2023, the Assam Public Service Commission announced the results of the prelims examination of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2022. On the same day, the commission released the schedule for the APSC CCE (Main) 2022. The mains exam, which was originally scheduled for August or September, has now been rescheduled.

The APSC Mains exam is now preponed to June 2023, and the exact dates are yet to be announced. All the candidates, who have qualified in the preliminary stage are fearing overlap of exams as many other national-level competitive exams are scheduled in the same month.

The first notification of APSC prelims was released on 22nd December 2022. However, due to some administrative reasons, a new notification for the same exam was released on the 16th of January 2023. In the new notification, APSC opened vacancies for 27 roles or designations and the total vacancies available is 913. The Preliminary exams were then held on the 26th of March 2023. And subsequently, the results were declared on 12th April 2023.

APSC Mains 2023 Prepond

Candidates are tense due to the rescheduling of the APSC CCE (Main) 2022 as UPSC CSE (Preliminary) 2023 is scheduled for 28th May 2023 and many aspirants prepare for both exams simultaneously. Due to this rescheduling of APSC CCE (Main) 2022, candidates are now expressing their concerns on how to manage both exams simultaneously as the requirements of both exams are not completely the same.

And candidates are in fear that this may affect their performance in one of the two exams or both exams. Students are also fearing because it may overlap with other top-level exams, which are scheduled on the nearby dates

APSC Mains 2022

The notification for the APSC Mains exam was released on 12th April 2023 informing candidates of the rescheduling of the exam. Online application forms for the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, 2022 will be available on the Assam Public Service Commission’s website. The Online Applications can be filled up from 20th April 2023 at 12 Noon to 5th May 2023 till 05 PM, after which the link will be disabled. The last date for payment of the prescribed fee is 7th May 2023 at 05 PM.
