The Assam Women’s University is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission into various undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes offered for the academic session 2023-2024. The application portal for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2023 is open from the 12th of June, and candidates will have time up to the 12th of July to apply for the same.
This year, Assam Women’s University is offering admissions into 3 diploma, 6 undergraduate, and 14 postgraduate programmes. The Assam Women’s University Admissions 2023 will be purely on a merit basis following the reservation system of the Government of Assam.

Assam Women’s University Admissions 2023: Eligibility
- Only female candidates are eligible for admission.
- A candidate applying for the undergraduate programme shall be at least 17 years of age as on August 1, 2022 (i.e., must have been born before 01-08-2005).
- Along with this, there are also certain course-specific eligibility criteria that candidates need to check in the prospectus of 2023-24.
Documents Required
All the students, who are going to apply for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2023 will need the following images/ documents with them while filling out the forms:
- Unique ID from the Director of Higher Education, Assam
- A passport-size photograph
- An image of your signature
- Caste Certificate (if you are claiming reservation under EWS/ OBC/ SC/ ST(P)/ ST(H) categories)
- Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC), if available
- Admit Card, Marksheet & Pass Certificate of Class 10th
- Pass certificate and Marksheet of Class 12th
- Marksheet and Provisional/ Original Pass Certificate of Graduation (If you are applying for the PG Programme)
How to apply?
- Visit the application portal of Assam Women’s University Admissions 2023 by clicking on the link given below in the Important Links section
- Read all the instructions, tick mark the check boxes given, then click on the button given for Pre-Registration for Candidates
- A registration form will appear, enter all your basic details and get yourself registered into the portal
- Next, log in to the admission portal using the username and password received in your email address
- Now fill out the application form with all the academic and personal details as asked in the portal
- Next, choose the preferred city to appear in the AWUET-2023 entrance examination, which will be held in Dibrugarh, Guwahati, Jorhat, and Tezpur
- Then recheck all the details you have entered and submit your application form for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2023
- Lastly, pay the application fee as per your category
- After completion of these steps, download a PDF copy of the application form and the payment receipt for further reference.
Application Fee
- While applying for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2023, all the candidates belonging to the General/ OBC category will need to pay an application fee of Rs. 300/- and for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD category, the fee is Rs. 150/- (excluding Rs. 50/- as surcharge).
- Candidates can pay the registration fees by choosing any of the payment methods available in the admission portal. The available payment methods are Debit Cards, Credit Cards, UPI, etc.
Selection Procedure
- The Entrance examinations for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2023 will be conducted in four major cities within the state of Assam namely: Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, and Guwahati.
- For the Bachelor of Physiotherapy, questions will be on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from the 10+2 level syllabus. The qualifying mark for the entrance test for the Department of Physiotherapy is 50%.
- For BA in Psychology, the mode of selection will be based on Merit.
- For PG programmes, the mode of selection will be based on Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET). The university will soon notify the details of the entrance test and hereby candidates are advised to visit the university website frequently.
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the academic performance of the candidate and the marks scored in the entrance examinations conducted by the respective departments.
