Assam Women’s University Admissions 2025: Courses available, Eligibility, Steps to apply, and more

The Assam Women’s University is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission into various undergraduate, postgraduate, and integrated PG programmes offered for the academic session 2025-2026. The application portal for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2025 is open from the 10th of May, and candidates will have time up to the 30th of June to apply for the same.

This year, Assam Women’s University is offering admissions into 1 undergraduate, 1 diploma, 14 integrated PG programmes, along with 16 postgraduate courses. The Assam Women’s University Admissions 2025 will be completed based Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET) or on merit basis, following the reservation system of the Government of Assam.

Integrated PG Courses

There are 25 regular seats in all of the Integrated Postgraduate programmes (FYIPGP), and admissions for the same will be done via Samarth Portal.

Postgraduate Programmes

There are 42 regular seats, 6 endowment seats and 2 supernumerary seats in all of the Postgraduate programmes listed below.

Assam Women’s University Admissions 2025: Eligibility

• Only female candidates are eligible for admission.
• A candidate applying for an undergraduate or Integrated PG programme shall have to be at least 17 years of age as on August 1, 2025 (i.e., must have been born before 01-08-2008).
• Along with this, there are also certain course-specific eligibility criteria that candidates need to check in the prospectus for 2025-26.

Selection Procedure

Integrated PG programmes:

• Admission in all the seats of Integrated PG programmes will be filled up on merit basis, based on best of five subject marks secured by the candidate in the (10+2) examination, following the reservation system of the Government of Assam.
• Candidates seeking admission into Integrated PG shall have to apply through Assam Higher Education Admission web portal, widely known as Samarth Portal.

UG, PG & Diploma Courses

• The Entrance examinations for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2025 will be conducted in four major cities within the state of Assam, namely: Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur and Guwahati.
• For the Bachelor of Physiotherapy, questions will be on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from the 10+2 level syllabus. The qualifying mark for the entrance test for the Department of Physiotherapy is 50%.
• For PG programmes also, the mode of selection will be based on the Assam Women’s University Entrance Test (AWUET).
• The final merit list will be prepared based on the academic performance of the candidate and the marks scored in the entrance examinations conducted by the respective departments.

• Read all the instructions, tick mark the check boxes given, then click on the button given
• A registration form will appear, enter all your basic details and get yourself registered in the portal
• Next, log in to the admission portal using the username and password received in your email.
• Now fill out the application form with all the academic and personal details as asked in the portal
• Next, choose the preferred city to appear in the AWUET-2025 entrance examination
• Then recheck all the details you have entered and submit your application form for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2025
• Lastly, pay the application fee as per your category
• After completion of these steps, download a PDF copy of the application form and the payment receipt for further reference.

Application Fee

• While applying for Assam Women’s University Admissions 2025, all the candidates applying for BPT, PG and Diploma programmes will need to pay an application fee or entrance fee of Rs. 500/- and service charges.
• Candidates can pay the registration fees by choosing any of the payment methods available in the admission portal. The available payment methods are Debit Cards, Credit Cards, UPI, etc.
