Bhattadev University has invited applications for admission into its Ph.D. programmes for the academic session 2026-2027. The Bhattadev University PhD Admissions 2026 notification, issued by the Office of the Academic Registrar on 7th August 2026, lists tentative vacant seats across 22 departments for eligible candidates.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates seeking admission under Bhattadev University PhD Admissions 2026 must hold a 2-year Master’s degree in the concerned or an allied subject with at least 55 percent marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
• A 5 percent relaxation in marks, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC (non-creamy layer)/ Differently-abled (with equal to or more than 40 percent disability)/ Economically Weaker Section (EWS), as per UGC guidelines.
• No hostel accommodation can be provided to any research scholar admitted under Bhattadev University PhD Admissions 2026.

Selection Process

Admission under Bhattadev University PhD Admissions 2026 follows a two-stage process.

• All candidates seeking admission must clear the Ph.D. Entrance Test (BU-PET), which will be conducted in offline mode by Bhattadev University with qualifying marks. Following this, an interview will be conducted for those shortlisted candidates who qualify the BU-PET, to determine their suitability for Ph.D. admission.
• Candidates who have cleared NET/ SLET and other equivalent national tests are exempted from appearing in the written test, as per UGC’s Public Notice No.F.4-1 (UGC-NET Review Committee)/2024(NET)/140648 dated 27th March 2024. However, such candidates still have to appear in the personal interview.

Exam Pattern

The syllabus of the BU-PET entrance test will consist of General (50 percent) and Subject-specific (50 percent) questions.

Documents Required

Candidates must produce the following documents at the time of interview under Bhattadev University PhD Admissions 2026.

• A print copy of the Application Form generated after submission
• Original copies of pass certificates and mark-sheets from HSLC to Master’s Degree
• Original Caste Certificate, if applicable
• Self-attested copy of score card for UGC-NET, etc.
• Self-attested copy of score card of BU-PET 2026 downloaded from the University website
• No Objection Certificate, in case the candidate is employed

Steps to Apply

• Visit the application portal by clicking on the link given below in the “Important Links” section.
• Download the application form from the University website.
• Fill in the Google form, which is live on the University website from 10th August 2026.
• Deposit the non-refundable application fee through SBI Collect in the University Account.
• Submit the filled-in application form, along with the payment receipt, to the Office of the Academic Registrar on the day of the Entrance Test.

The application fee is non-refundable and is to be paid through SBI Collect in the University Account.
