BRO Recruitment 2025: Apply now for 411 MSW Posts at Border Roads Organisation

BRO Recruitment 2025: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO), which works for developing and maintaining road networks in India’s border areas under the Ministry of Defence has come up with a new recruitment drive for Multi-Skilled Workers (MSW). On 1st of January, BRO released a notification aiming to fill 411 vacancies across various trades.

Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria

• The BRO Recruitment 2025 for MSW vacancies is open for male candidates only.
• The candidates’ age should be between 18 years to 25 years, as of the 25th of February, 2025. However, there are a few relaxations for candidates belonging to various reserved categories.
• Candidates should have passed Class 10th from a recognized institute.
• Candidates should meet the physical and medical standards as per the guidelines of the Border Roads Organisation, and they should be able to qualify the physical tests as well.
• The concerned authorities will conduct a proficiency test in the respective trades and candidates need to qualify that.

Trade-Specific Qualifications

Mason: Candidates will need to have a certificate of Building construction/ Bricks Mason from Industrial Training Institute/ Industrial Trade Certificate/ National Council for Training in the Vocational Trades/ State Council for Vocational Training OR Passed Certificate Class II for Mason as laid down in Defence Service Regulations, (Qualification Regulations for Soldiers) from office of Records/ Centres or similar establishment of Defence.

Blacksmith: Candidates will need to have a certificate Black Smith/ Forge technology/ Heat transfer technology/ Sheet Metal worker certificate from Industrial Training Institute/ Industrial Trade Certificate/ National Council for Training in the Vocational Trades/ State Council for Vocational Training. OR Passed Class 2 course for Black Smith as laid down in Defence Service Regulations, (Qualification Regulations for soldiers) from office of Records/ Centres or similar establishment of Defence.

How to Apply?

• The mode of application for BRO Recruitment 2025 will be offline.
• Candidates can download the prescribed application form from the link given below and take a printout of the same.
• Then, they will need to fill out the form in English or Hindi only.
• The candidates need to send copies of certificates for proof of residence, essential educational qualification, date of birth, caste certificate, proof of EWS status etc. alongwith the application form.
• The certificates or testimonials should be either attested by a Gazetted Officer or can be self-attested.
• Also, candidates need to pay applictaion fees using the link given below and then they will need to attach a copy of the payment receipt with the applictaion form.
• The top of the envelope should be superscribed with the following words: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______, Category UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ PwBD/ESM/CPL, WEIGHTAGE PERCENTAGE IN ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION _______” while sending the application form.
• The envelope should be sent via Registered post to the following address:

• The application forms quoting the advertisement number and post applied for should reach the above mentioned address within 45 days from the date of publication of advertisement from the candidates staying in plains as per format of application enclosed as Appendix ‘A’ in the advertisement of BRO Recruitment 2025.
• And it should read within 60 days from the candidates residing in the States of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Lahaul and Spit District and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh division of Leh & Ladakh (UT) Andaman & Nicobar Islands (UT) and Lakshadweep (UT).

Application Fees

• The application fee for UR, OBC and EWS candidates is Rs. 50.
• And candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Persons with Benchmark Disability category are exempted from this payment.
