Overview of SEBA Class 10 results 2022
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) declared the results of the Class 10 examinations on the 7th of June, 2022. The overall pass percentage for this year’s SEBA Class 10 exam is 56.49.%. Compared to the previous year, it is quite low as the overall pass percentage was 93.10 in 2021. Whereas, before Covid, in 2020 and 2019 the pass percentage was 64.80 and 60.23 respectively.
Media should keep quiet for 2 years, says CM Sarma
In his address to media persons, CM Sarma claimed that the state government can bring the pass percentage up to 100 in just 2 years if everyone cooperates with the authorities. He also reminded everyone of previous incidents when the education department and concerned authorities had started taking strict action against the irresponsible teachers and headmasters of various schools.
But, as a reaction, the media along with few people raised their concern on behalf of the teachers and uplifted the matter as an insult to Gurus, or the teaching community around. This made the government step back and reduce its actions, and here is its outcome, Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
If the journalists, parents, and other stakeholders start cooperating with the government’s action; they can surely improve the results in the coming time. CM Sarma also added that a maximum of the teachers are not involved in such activities, and the government needs to reform just a few of them.
Public Opinion
The words from CM Sarma got a mixed response from the audience around. Many people on social media wrote down against it, saying they are already in power for a few years and they have shown a clear failure in developing the education system. Whereas other sections of people welcomed his message and highlighted the immediate need for strict actions from concerned authorities in this matter.
Now, it will be interesting to see, how the government comes up with some actions to keep CM Sarma’s promise and improve the SEBA Class 10 results in the next 2 years.
