CSIR-NIScPR Recruitment 2025: The CSIR – National Institute of Science Communication & Policy Research invites applications for the position of Scientist Group IV (2) for the year 2025. A total of 12 vacancies are announced with the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix. Read the article to know more and apply before 2nd April 2025.

Vacancies

Under the CSIR-NIScPR Recruitment 2025, a total of 12 vacancies for the position of Scientist Group IV (2) across various categories has been announced.

Pay Scale

• For the post of Scientist Group IV (2) position under the CSIR-NIScPR Recruitment 2025, the employees will be paid according to the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix.
• The basic pay is ₹67,700, which increases with annual increments of 3%.
• Apart from this, the employees will also receive –

Eligibility

To apply for the CSIR-NIScPR Recruitment 2025, the candidates must ensure their eligibility as per the criteria given below –

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen
• As per the post requirement, the educational qualification of the candidate must be either Ph.D./M.Tech./B.Tech./M.Sc. with minimum 60% aggregate (or 1st Class)
• The maximum age limit is 32 years for the general category.
  • Age relaxations for the following categories –
    • For SC/ ST: +5 years
    • For OBC(NCL): +3 years
    • PwBD (Persons with Disabilities – General): +10 years
    • PwBD (OBC-NCL): +13 years
    • PwBD (SC/ ST): +15 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules
    • Widows/ Divorced Women: Up to 35 years (40 years for SC/ ST)
• Candidates with experience in the particular field are preferable. However, it is not mandatory for fresh Ph.D holders.
• In case a candidate holds a foreign degree, an AIU Equivalency Certificate must be produced to the authorities of CSIR-NIScPR Recruitment 2025.

Selection Procedure

• A screening committee will review all applications after the last date of submission of application.
• Candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, academic qualifications, research experience, and publications.
• Shortlisted candidates will receive email notifications for the call for the next stage, and the list may also be published on the official NIScPR website.
• The next stage may involve either a direct interview or a combination of a written test and interview, depending upon the number of applications.
• The interview may be offline (at NIScPR, New Delhi) or online (via video conferencing)
• An interview panel will assess the candidates based on the following –
  • Research expertise and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the subject and latest developments in the field
  • Ability to contribute to NIScPR’s research projects
  • Communication skills and scientific temperament
• In the case of the written exam of CSIR-NIScPR Recruitment 2025, the candidates will be assessed based on –
  • Knowledge of subject based on specialization
  • Analytical and reasoning skills
  • Research methodology and publication ethics

Post Selection Procedure

• A final merit list will be prepared based on-
  • Performance in the interview
  • Research contributions and publications
  • Work experience and relevance to NIScPR’s projects
  • Written test performance (if applicable)
• The selected candidates will receive an offer letter from NIScPR.
• Selected candidates will be required to complete document verification before joining.
• Candidates will receive appointment letters with details on salary, benefits, and job responsibilities.
• Other formalities will be communicated via email.
