CUET PG 2025: Registration begins, here is all you should know about before applying

CUET PG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the notification and opened the application portal for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2025, facilitating admissions into Post-Graduate (PG) programs. CUET PG 2025 will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, providing a unified platform for students to apply to various Central Universities and other participating institutions, including State Universities, Deemed Universities, and Private Universities across the nation.

The online application process commenced on 2nd January, 2025. Interested candidates have time up to 1st day of February, 2025 to apply for the entrance test. CUET PG 2024 will be conducted between the 13th and 31st of March, 2025. For comprehensive information, please refer to this article.

Eligibility Criteria

• There is no age restriction for applying to CUET PG 2025. However, candidates must meet the age requirements of the university they wish to attend.
• Applicants should have completed a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Students in their final semester of undergraduate studies are also eligible to apply.
• Since each university has specific eligibility criteria, candidates are advised to consult the respective university’s website for detailed requirements before applying.

Exam Pattern

• CUET PG 2025 will be conducted exclusively in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
• The medium of the question paper will be English and Hindi (Bilingual) except for languages, M.Tech/ Higher Sciences, and Acharya papers (except Hindu Studies, Baudha Dharshan, and Indian Knowledge System).
• Language papers will be presented in the respective language, except for Linguistics, which will be in English.
• Candidates may select up to four question paper codes.
• The test will comprise 75 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with a total duration of 90 minutes.
• Each correct answer will earn 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
• The comprehension sections in the General Paper will be available in English or Hindi, as chosen by the candidate during registration.
• The CUET PG 2025 examination will be conducted in 2-3 shifts.
• In case of discrepancies or confusion, the English version of the questions in the test papers except languages and Acharya, will be taken as final.

How to apply for CUET PG 2025?

• First of all, candidates need to visit the official website by clicking on the link given below.
• Next, click on the button given for registration of new candidates.
• Read all the instructions shown and go through the information bulletin to ensure that you meet the eligibility conditions.
• Then, check the tick mark and click on the proceed button to reach the registration portal
• Enter your basic details and get registered.
• Log in to the application portal and enter personal details, address info, and academic details and then choose the preferred city for the exam centre.
• Now, choose the preferred programme and institute and review the list of test papers you wish to appear in CUET PG 2025.
• Upload the necessary documents, preview the complete form and submit it.
• Lastly, pay the application fees and download the application form & payment receipt for future reference.

Application Fees

• For up to 2 Test Papers, the fees payable by candidates from outside India are ₹7000.
• And for each additional test paper, such candidates will need to pay ₹3500.
