The Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training (DCET) Assam, under the Skill Employment & Entrepreneurship Department, Government of Assam, has announced the DCET Recruitment 2025 for Junior Instructor posts in various ITIs across Assam. The recruitment notification invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens registered with the Employment Exchange in Assam.
This recruitment aims to fill multiple vacancies for Junior Instructors in trades such as Electrician, Wireman, Welder, Fitter, and many others. Pay Scale
All Junior Instructor posts carry a pay scale of Rs. 14,000/- to 70,000/- (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,800/-, along with other allowances as admissible under the Government of Assam rules.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Passed HSLC or equivalent from a recognised Board/ Institution.
- Passed National Apprenticeship Certificate or National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade.
- One year of industrial or teaching experience is desirable.
Age Limit
As on 01.01.2025, candidates must be between 18 to 40 years of age. Specifically, candidates born not before 31.12.1984 and not later than 01.01.2007 are eligible.
Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
- 5 years for SC, ST (P) & ST (H) candidates
- 3 years for OBC/ MOBC candidates
- 2 years for Ex-servicemen
- 10 years for PwD (Persons with Disability) candidates, irrespective of caste
Selection Process
The selection procedure of DCET recruitment 2025 will be conducted in two phases.
Phase I
A Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based written test of 2 hours, carrying 100 marks with no negative marking. The test covers subject knowledge, general English, general knowledge, and basic digital literacy.

Phase II
- Against each vacancy, 1:4 candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test category wise.
- Skill Test in the concerned trade/ subject will be organised for shortlisted candidates with 50 marks.
- Document verification will be conducted before the skill test.

- Click on the button saying “Register for new Application”
- Fill in basic details, enter the OTP received and get registered
- Once registered, log in to the application portal
- Enter the personal and academic details, as asked
- Upload all required scanned documents as per instructions
- Ensure all information is correct and complete before submission
- Lastly, submit the form and download a copy of the same for future reference
Application Fee
There is no application fee for candidates applying for the Junior Instructor posts, advertised under DCET Recruitment 2025.
