Gauhati University MBA Admission: The online applications portal for the 2 year programme in Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Gauhati University for the year 2025 is open now. Eligibility Criteria

• Academic qualification –
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) in aggregate or in Honors/ Major subject.
  • Final year students (with no backlogs) may apply but must meet eligibility criteria before the first semester MBA exams.
  • Those who are in the final semester of their Bachelor’s degree and have no arrear in earlier semesters may also apply
• Entrance exam exemption –
  Candidates with 75 percentile or above in MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ CMAT or other national MBA entrance tests can skip Gauhati University’s written test and proceed directly to Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Selection Procedure

• Written Test –
  • Conducted by Gauhati University
  • It is mandatory unless exempted
• Group Discussion & Personal Interview –
  • For candidates clearing the written test or with valid national test scores
• Final Selection –
  • Based on combined performance in the aforementioned stages

Note: If a candidate appears for both Gauhati University’s test and a national test, the higher score will be considered

Documents Required

• Scanned photograph (Passport-size, recent, clear, and as per specified dimensions)
• Scanned signature (Legible, in cursive/ handwritten format)
• Class 10th and 12th marksheets and certificates (Proof of date of birth)
• Bachelor’s degree marksheets (All semesters/ years)
• Bachelor’s degree provisional certificate/ final degree certificate (if already graduated)
• Category certificate (if applicable SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS)
• Valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card/ Passport/ Voter ID/ PAN Card)
• Proof of no backlogs in previous semesters
• Valid Scorecard of MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ CMAT or other national MBA entrance test
• Reserved category/ Other quota form

Note – All uploaded documents must be self-attested and submitted by 21st April, 2025 to Room No. 14, Office of the Secretary, University Classes, Gauhati University, Guwahati, Assam – 781014.

How to apply for Gauhati University MBA Admission?

Candidates can follow the given steps to apply for the MBA programme at GU –

• First, visit the official website given below
• Using a valid mobile number or email, register for yourself in the portal
• Now, login with the credentials mailed to you
• Then, the applicant need to select on the option ‘MBA Programme’
• The applicant should fill all the details of the information as directed on the portal
• With proper dimension ratio mentioned in the official website, the applicant should upload relevant documents, passport photo and signature
• Pay the application fees then, download and save the payment receipt
• After providing all the details, review and submit the application
• Once the Submit option is clicked, no changes can be done by the applicant
• Take a printout of the application form for future reference

Application Fee

• The application fees for the 2 year MBA Programme is 1000 INR.
• Application fees can be paid by Debit/ Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI (PhonePe/ Google Pay/ PayTM)
