NICL AO Recruitment 2024: The National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for available vacant Administrative Officer (Generalist & Specialist) (Scale-I) posts. The NICL AO Recruitment 2024 drive is being conducted against 274 vacancies. Interested candidates may apply online before the 22nd of January, 2024.

Pay Scale
- All the hired 450 Officers (Generalists & Specialists) in the Scale-I cadre will get a Basic pay of Rs. 50,925/- in the scale of Rs. 50925 – 2500(14) – 85925 – 2710(4) – 96765 and other admissible allowance as applicable.
- In Metropolitan Centres, gross emoluments of NICL AO Recruitment 2024 will be approximately Rs. 85,000/- p.m..
- Other benefits such as coverage under the National Pension System governed by PFRDA, Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance etc. shall be as per rules in force in the Company at the time of appointment.
- The Officers of NICL AO Recruitment 2024 will also be entitled to the Company’s / leased accommodation as per norms.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
As of 01.12.2023, the candidate’s minimum age for applying to NICL AO Recruitment 2024 must be 21 years and the maximum age must be 30 years. That means, a candidate must have been born not earlier than the 2nd of December, 1993 and not later than the 1st of December, 2002 (both dates inclusive) to be eligible for the NICL AO Recruitment 2024.
Educational Qualification:
- Doctors (MBBS): M.B.B.S / M.D. / M.S. or PG – Medical Degree from a recognized University OR equivalent foreign degrees which are recognized as such by the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) with the prescribed benchmark. Furthermore, the candidate must be holding a valid registration from the National Medical Commission (Formerly Medical Council of India) or any State Medical Council (as applicable for Allopathy) as of date of the scheduled interview
- Legal Officers: Graduate/ Post-graduate in Law with min 60% (55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD).
- Finance: Chartered Accountant (ICAI) / Cost Accountant (ICWA) OR B.COM / M.COM from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.
- Information Technology Specialists: B.E./ B.Tech/ M.E/ M.Tech in IT or Computer Science Discipline OR M.C.A with min 60% (55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD).
- Automobile Engineers: B.E./ B.Tech./ M.E./ M.Tech in Automobile Engineering with min 60% (55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD) OR Graduate/ Post-graduate in Mechanical Engineering with min 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) together with Diploma (at least one-year duration) in Automobile Engineering.
- Hindi Rajbhasha Specialist: Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level with 60% marks (for SC/ ST 55% marks).
- Generalist: Graduate / Post Graduate in any stream from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in either of the degree examinations (at least 55% for SC/ST) candidates.

- To get registered first, click on the link that reads, “Click here for New Registration”
- Then, click on the “APPLY ONLINE” link to fill out the application form
- Enter all your personal and educational details
- Upload the necessary documents
- Make the payment using the available services
- Lastly, submit the form and take a printout of the e-receipt and online application for future reference

Selection Procedure
The selection process in NICL AO Recruitment 2024 consists of 2 stages, the Preliminary Exam and the Main Exam.
Stage 1 (Preliminary Exam)
- Will be applicable for all disciplines except for Hindi Officers
- An initial assessment, comprising Multiple Choice type Questions, for a total of 100 marks, will be administered online
- This examination applies to all disciplines except Hindi Officers
- The test is designed to last for 60 minutes and is divided into three sections, each with its own designated time allocation

Stage 2 (Main Exam)
- The primary examination will include Objective Tests (Multiple Choice type Questions) accounting for 250 marks and a Descriptive Test for 30 Marks
- Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be conducted online. Candidates are required to respond to the Descriptive Test by typing on the computer
- The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after the completion of the Objective Test.
(A) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 3 Hours duration consists of five & six sections for Generalists and Specialist subjects

(B) Subjective Test: The 30-minute descriptive test, worth 30 marks, will assess proficiency in the English language. This test includes an essay section (10 marks), a précis section (10 marks), and a comprehension section (10 marks). The descriptive test will be conducted online and will be in English.
Note: There will be separate single-stage examinations for the Hindi category
