IBPS RRB Notification 2026 Out: Apply Online for 13,706 Posts

IBPS RRB Notification 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the CRP RRBs XV notification for recruitment to Group “A” Officers and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in participating Regional Rural Banks. The online registration process has started on 1st September 2026 and will continue up to 21st September 2026. The notification includes details of vacancies, eligibility, examination structure, application fee and selection process.

Vacancy Details

The IBPS RRB Notification 2026 includes indicative vacancies for Office Assistant and Officer posts. The notification states that vacancies are anticipated and provisional allotment will be based on the actual vacancies reported by the RRBs.

Note: The vacancies are indicative. Some Banks have reported their vacancies as “NR” in the notification, and the actual vacancies may change based on the requirements reported by the participating RRBs.

Eligibility

Age Limit

The age limit of the candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 is calculated as of 1st September 2026 and must meet the following criteria:

• Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 18 to 28 years. Candidates should have been born between 2nd September 1998 and 1st September 2008.
• Officer Scale-I: Above 18 years and below 30 years. Candidates should have been born between 2nd September 1996 and 1st September 2008.
• Officer Scale-II: Above 21 years and below 32 years. Candidates should have been born between 2nd September 1994 and 1st September 2005.
• Officer Scale-III: Above 21 years and below 40 years. Candidates should have been born between 2nd September 1986 and 1st September 2005.

Note: Age relaxation is available for eligible reserved categories including SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), PwBD and Ex-Servicemen, as prescribed in the notification.

Educational Qualification

The candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 must have the following educational details:

• Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent. Proficiency in the local language prescribed by the participating RRB is required. Working knowledge of computers is desirable.
• Officer Scale-I: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Preference is given to candidates with degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy. Local language proficiency and working knowledge of computers are specified.
• Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
• Officer Scale-II (IT Officer): Degree in Electronics/Communication, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent, with at least 50% marks.
• Officer Scale-II (Chartered Accountant): Chartered Accountant qualification as prescribed.
• Officer Scale-II (Law Officer): Law degree with at least 50% marks.
• Officer Scale-II (Treasury Manager): Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance.
• Officer Scale-II (Marketing Officer): MBA in Marketing.
• Officer Scale-II (Agricultural Officer): Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering or Pisciculture, with at least 50% marks.
• Officer Scale-III: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.

Nationality

A candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from the countries specified in the notification, subject to the prescribed eligibility certificate requirements.

Selection Process

The selection process for various posts under A candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 is given in detail:

• For Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the selection process consists of the Preliminary Examination followed by the Main Examination. Candidates shortlisted after the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination. Provisional allotment will be based on Main Examination marks and the actual vacancies reported by the RRBs.
• For Officer Scale-I, candidates have to qualify in the Preliminary and Main Examinations before appearing for the Common Interview.
• For Officer Scale-II and Scale-III, candidates will appear for a Single Online Examination followed by the Common Interview.
• The interviews for Officer Scale-I, II and III are tentatively scheduled for January/February 2027.

Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary Examination applies to Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I under A candidate applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 :

Main Examination

The Main Examination for Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I consists of 200 questions carrying 200 marks.

Single Online Examination

Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer and Officer Scale-III have a Single Online Examination.

Single Online Examination for Specialist Officers

A penalty of one-fourth mark is applicable for each wrong answer in the online examinations. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.

Documents Required

Candidates applying under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 should keep the documents required under the notification and its scanning guidelines ready. These include:

• Recent photograph
• Signature
• Left thumb impression
• Handwritten declaration
• Class 10th/ SSC/ SSLC certificate, wherever required
• Educational qualification certificates and marksheets
• Category certificate, wherever applicable
• PwBD/disability certificate or UDID card, wherever applicable
• Experience certificate for posts where experience is prescribed
• Other relevant certificates required for nationality, age, qualification and category verification

Candidates shortlisted for the applicable stages must produce the relevant original documents and photocopies as specified in the notification.

• Open the relevant application link for Office Assistants or Officers Scale-I, II and III.
• Complete the new registration using the required basic details.
• Fill in the application form carefully and provide the required educational, category and other details.
• Upload the photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration and other required documents according to the prescribed specifications.
• Pay the applicable application fee online.
• Review the application form and submit it within the registration period.
• Take a printout of the submitted application form of IBPS RRB Notification 2026 and payment receipt for future reference.

Note: A candidate can apply for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) as well as one post in the Officer cadre. A candidate cannot apply for more than one Officer post. Separate applications and fees are required for each post applied for.

Application Fee

Note: For the Office Assistant post under IBPS RRB Notification 2026 , the Rs. 175/- fee is also applicable to eligible ESM/DESM candidates. The fee is inclusive of GST and is payable through online mode. Bank transaction charges are to be borne by the candidate.
