IGNOU BEd Admission 2026: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced admissions for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme for the batch starting January 2026. The admission process will be conducted through an entrance test held across the country, with the test date to be communicated later. Age Limit

There is no age bar for IGNOU BEd Admission 2026.

Educational Criteria

• At least 50% marks in Bachelor’s and/ or Master’s Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, Commerce, or Humanities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with at least 55% marks.
• Other equivalent qualifications as recognized by the university.
• Candidates must be either trained in-service elementary education teachers or have completed an NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode.

Reservation and Relaxation

The candidates applying under IGNOU BEd Admission 2026 have will have reservation and relaxation of 5% marks in minimum eligibility will be provided to SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-creamy layer)/ PWD candidates as per Central Government rules. EWS and reservation for Kashmiri migrants and war widow candidates will be provided according to university regulations.

Selection Process

The IGNOU BEd Admission 2026 is merit based. Merit lists will be prepared nodal regional center wise based on candidates’ performance in the entrance test.
