IITG Junior Technician Recruitment 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) invites online applications from eligible Indian nationals for appointment to the Junior Technician posts. Interested candidates can apply online on or before 15th September 2025. The selected candidates will get a salary of Pay Matrix Level 3 (as per 7th CPC) with other benefits as applicable from time to time.

Pay Scale
The pay scale of the candidate applying under IITG Junior Technician Recruitment 2025 will be within the Pay Matrix Level: 3 (Qualification Pay at ₹. 3600/- with the first initial salary starting from Rs ₹21,700).
Eligibility Criteria
The age criteria and educational qualification for the candidate applying under IITG Junior Technician Recruitment 2025 is given below:
Age Limit
Up to 27 years. (No upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati)
Educational qualification
- Infrastructure Planning & Management (IPM): ITI Certificate Course in Electrician Trade with 3 years’ experience in operation of 33 / 11 KV, 11/0.433 KV substation and DG sets. N.B.- ITI certificate course after completion of 10th standard shall be considered.
- Central Workshop: ITI Certificate in Carpentry with 3 years’ experience; Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI certificate in Turner with 3 years’ experience in operating CNC machines.
- Central Instruments Facility (CIF): Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Physics/ Chemistry or Minimum Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering/Engineering Physics, Biotechnology/ Chemical Engineering.
Selection Process
The Selection to IITG Junior Technician Recruitment 2025 will be based on the performance in the Written/ Skill Test as conducted by the Institute.The details of the pattern & syllabus of the tests will be uploaded on the Institute’s website, when the date of the tests will be declared.

- Proof of age (preferably birth certificate/ Secondary School leaving certificate/ Passport/ Marksheet of class X/ XII issued by CBSE/ ICSE/ other recognized exam boards showing the DOB in DOB column)
- SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL) certificate (if applicable)

- Disability certificate (if applicable)
- Educational Qualification certificates and Mark sheets/ transcripts for all semesters/ years
- Experience/ Training Certificate (if applicable)
- Proof of NOC from employer in case of persons already working in govt. /PSU
- Others relevant to a specific category/ subject
- Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID (any one of these as proof of identity)
