The Indian Air Force (IAF) has recently released an advertisement regarding Agniveer Vayu – Intake 01/2026. This recruitment drive is facilitated under the Agnipath Scheme. Initially, the application procedure of Indian Air Force Recruitment 2025 was open from 7th of January to 27th of January, 2025. However, IAF has extended the deadline for online registrations till 2nd day of February, 2025.
Individuals who meet the necessary eligibility criteria and are interested in serving in the Indian Air Force can apply through the official website by following the steps given below. Recently, Indian Railways has also come up with bumper vacancies of Group D posts, where they are looking to recruit a total of 32,438 eligible candidates.
Eligibility
Age Limit:
- Candidates born between 1 January, 2005 to 1 July, 2008 are eligible to apply.
- However, there is one more condition, which is – if the candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 21 years.
Educational Criteria:
- The candidates coming from Non-Science subjects should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised board or institute with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- For science subjects:
- 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English (minimum 50% in aggregate, 50% in English), or equivalent diploma/ vocational courses
- Or, 3 years Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology)
- Or, 2 years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from a recognized Board with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
Note:
- There is a special criteria regarding the Marital Status in which only unmarried candidates are eligible. Female candidates must not become pregnant during the four-year engagement period.

Pay Scale
- The starting salary of the recruited candidate will begin from ₹ 30,000 monthly with annual increments.
- Additionally, there will be provision of Seva Nidhi Package of approximately ₹10.04 lakh upon completion of service along with non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh.
- Other benefits like Medical facilities, leave, and canteen facilities will also be given.
Selection Process
The selection procedure for the Indian Air Force Recruitment 2025 will include three phases –
- Phase 1: It will be an online test based on subject/ streams and thus exam will be conducted in English and Hindi both.
- Phase 2: It will include Document verification, Physical Fitness test and Adaptability tests.
- Phase 3: The third stage will be Medical Examination.
Exam Pattern
The selection of the candidate in Indian Air Force Recruitment 2025 will occur on the basis of the entrance exam. Students with both science and non-science backgrounds can participate in the entrance exams. The details are given below:

Candidates are eligible for the Physical Fitness Test only after passing the online test. The Physical Fitness Test includes:

- Aadhar or any other valid ID proof
- Class 10th/ Matriculation Certificate
- Intermediate/ 10+2 Marksheet, or equivalent certificates
- Marksheets for Diploma/ Vocational Courses, if applicable
- Recent passport-size photograph (showing the candidate holding a black slate with their name and date)
- Left-hand thumb impression
- Scanned image of signature of the candidate
- Candidates under 18 must upload their parent/ guardian’s scanned signature image

Application fees
