RRB Group D Recruitment 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board is recruiting eligible candidates for various posts under Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix in the Indian Railways vide Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 08/2024. The registrations for a total of 32,438 vacancies have begun on 23rd January, 2025. Vacancies of RRB Group D Recruitment 2025

Salary

The candidates selected under RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 will receive their salary as per Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The candidates will get an Initial Pay of Rs. 18,000 along with applicable alowances. The in-hand salary will be approximately Rs. 22,500/- to Rs. 25,380/- per month.

Eligibility

• Candidates must have passed Class 10th or ITI or equivalent exam or they should have National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
• Age limit (as of 01-01-2025) for General candidates is 18 to 36 years.
• However, there are certain relaxations in age limit for candidates of reserved categories:
  • OBC: +3 years
  • SC/ST: +5 years
  • PwBD: +10 years (additional for OBC/ SC/ ST)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per service duration

Selection Process

The selection process of RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 comprises the following stages:

1. Computer Based Tests (CBT) 
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
3. Document Verification (DV) 
4. Medical Examination (ME)

Computer-Based Test

• The Computer bases test will contain 100 Multiple Choice Questions.
• Candidates will get 90 minutes to complete the paper.
• The paper will have 25 questions of General Science, 25 questions of Mathematics, 30 questions of General Intelligence & Reasoning, and 20 questions of General Awareness & Current Affairs.
• For every correct answer, candidate will receive 1 mark.
• There is negative marking and 1/3 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
• The test may be conducted in single or multiple stages depending on the logistical requirements, and marks will be normalized for multi-session exams.

Physical Efficiency Test

• Based on the performance in CBT, candidates will be shortlisted (three times the vacancy count in RRB Group D Recruitment 2025) and they will have to go through the Physical Efficiency test.
• The requirements are different for male and female candidates.
• Male candidates:
  • Should be able to lift and carry 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down.
  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.
• Female candidates:
  • Should be able to lift and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down
  • Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
• The Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from appearing for PET. After qualifying in the CBT, such candidates will have to pass the medical examination prescribed for PwBD.

Document Verification & Medical Exam

It is the final stage to confirm eligibility and medical fitness, as per the conditions laid in the advertisement of RRB Group D Recruitment 2025.

How to apply of RRB Group D Recruitment 2025?

• First of all, candidates need to visit the official website of Railway Recruitment Board
• Then they have to create an account on the portal (If the candidate have already created an account for any CEN issued by RRB in 2024, they can fill up the application form using the same username and password)
• Once the account is created, log in and start application for RRB Group D Recruitment 2025
• Fill out the required details as asked in the portal
• Then pay the application fees
• Upload the photograph, signature, and other necessary documents
• Lastly, submit the application form and don’t forget to download a copy of the application form for future reference

Applicable Fees

The online applications of RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 can be submitted after payment of fees using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS and Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

• For General candidates, the fees will be ₹500, out of which ₹400 is refundable upon appearing in CBT.
• The fee for PwBD/ Female/ Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class (EBC) will be ₹250 (fully refundable upon CBT attendance).
• For modification in the application form in the alloted time frame, candidates will need to pay ₹250.
