Online registration for IOCL Executives Recruitment 2026 began on 14th August 2026 and will close on 3rd September 2026 till 5 PM. Posts and Educational Qualification

Graduate Engineer (Grade A)

Full-time regular B.Tech/ BE or equivalent degree from an AICTE/ UGC-recognised institution in one of the following domains:

• Chemical Engineering/ Technology/ Petrochemical disciplines
• Civil Engineering and allied disciplines
• Computer Science and Information Technology and allied disciplines
• Electrical Engineering and allied disciplines
• Electronics & Communication and allied disciplines
• Instrumentation Engineering and allied disciplines
• Mechanical Engineering and allied disciplines

Minimum marks required: 65% for General/ EWS/ OBC (NCL) candidates and 55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates.

Officer (Marketing), Grade A

The candidate applying under IOCL Executives Recruitment 2026 must be a full-time regular MBA (Marketing)/ PGDBA (equivalent to MBA as per AIU) with specialisation in Marketing Management, with a minimum of 60% marks for General/ EWS/ OBC (NCL) candidates and 55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates. The specialisation must be clearly mentioned in the final degree certificate.

Officer (Law), Grade A

Graduate degree in any discipline along with an LLB, or a 5-year integrated LLB degree, recognised by the Bar Council of India, with a minimum of 60% marks for General/ EWS/ OBC (NCL) candidates and 55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates in the respective qualifying degrees.

Assistant Quality Control Officer, Grade A0

Master’s degree in Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry, with a minimum of 60% marks for General/ EWS/ OBC (NCL) candidates and 55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates. Other branches of M.Sc such as Biochemistry, Pharmacy or Food Technology are not considered.

Diploma Engineer, Grade E0

3-year diploma in Engineering from an AICTE/ UGC/ State Board-recognised institution in Electrical, Mechanical, or Safety (along with a Diploma in Industrial Safety), with a minimum of 65% marks for General/ EWS/ OBC (NCL) candidates and 55% for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates. PwBD candidates are not eligible for the Safety discipline, as it involves critical safety-related operations in a hazardous industry.

Candidates must produce their final degree/ diploma marksheet by 30th September 2026, and any qualification obtained through part-time, correspondence, distance or online mode is not eligible for IOCL Executives Recruitment 2026.

Age Limit

The upper age of the candidate applying under IOCL Executives Recruitment 2026 limit is reckoned as on 1st July 2026 and applies to General/ EWS category candidates as follows:

Age relaxation is available to OBC (NCL), SC/ ST and PwBD candidates as per the birth-date cut-offs specified in the official notification linked in the Important Links section below, and to Ex-Servicemen and Commissioned Officers as per extant Government of India guidelines.

Work Experience

Post-qualification work experience (as on 30th June 2026) is required only for the following posts under IOCL Executives Recruitment 2026:

• Law Officer (Grade A): minimum 2 years of cumulative post-qualification professional experience, obtained after declaration of the final Law result, in litigation, arbitration/ dispute resolution, or drafting and vetting of legal/ contractual documents with law firms, courts, private/ public sector organisations, or Central/ State Governments.
• Assistant Quality Control Officer (Grade A0): minimum 2 years of cumulative post-qualification experience in Testing/ R&D/ Quality Control in petroleum, petrochemical, polymer or fertiliser unit laboratories, and/ or in an NABL-accredited laboratory accredited in the Chemical testing discipline.

Internships, teaching experience, part-time work, and short-term trainee/ project work are not considered as relevant experience for either post.

Selection Process

The selection process for IOCL Executives Recruitment 2026 comprises a Computer Based Test (CBT), Group Discussion (GD) and Group Task (GT), and a Personal Interview (PI).

Exam Pattern

Each question carries 1 mark, with 0.25 marks deducted for every incorrect answer. PwBD candidates permitted the use of a scribe are allowed compensatory time, extending Section A to 80 minutes and Section B to 120 minutes.

Candidates must secure the following minimum marks to qualify in the CBT:

• General, EWS and OBC (NCL): 40% in each section and 45% overall.
• SC/ ST: 35% in each section and 40% overall.
• PwBD: 25% in each section and 30% overall.

The final merit list for IOCL Executives Recruitment 2026 is based on a composite score with CBT carrying 85% weightage, GD and GT 5%, and PI 10%. The minimum qualifying composite score is 45% for General, EWS and OBC (NCL) candidates, 40% for SC/ ST candidates, and 30% for PwBD candidates.
