Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has released the official notification for 97 Assistant Quality Control Officers vacancies under the IOCL Recruitment 2025. After reviewing all the details related to the recruitment drive in this article, eligible candidates can submit their applications on or before March 21st, 2025.

Pay Scale
The candidate selected under the IOCL Recruitment 2025 will receive a pay of Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 1,40,00/- per month (Grade A0).
Eligibility Criteria for the IOCL Recruitment 2025
Age Limit
- The maximum age limit for General and EWS candidates is 30 years as of 28-02-2025.
- Age relaxation and reservation will be provided as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), Ex-Servicemen (ExSM), and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) (with 40% or more disability in the respective category).
- Age Relaxation:
- OBC (Non Creamy Layer): 3 years
- SC/ ST: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen & Commissioned Officers: 5 years
Note- PwBD candidates will be allowed age relaxation up to 10 years (up to 15 years for SC/ST and
up to 13 years for OBC (NCL) candidates, if considered against reserved positions). However, PwBD candidates availing only the 10-year age relaxation will be considered for unreserved posts first, based on merit, before being considered for reserved posts. PwBD & Ex-Servicemen from SC/ST/OBC (NCL) categories are eligible for cumulative age relaxation when applying for reserved posts.
Educational Qualification
- The candidate should have been awarded a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent disciplines from recognized Indian Universities/ Institutes in regular full-time mode.
- Equivalent disciplines in M.Sc. in Chemistry shall include Inorganic/ Organic/ Analytical/ Physical/ Applied Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry.
- Any other branch of Chemistry e.g. Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Toxicology, Geochemistry, Pharmacology, Food Technology, etc. will not be considered for eligibility.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying degree examination.
- However, a relaxation of 55% is applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) categories.
- Minimum 2 Years of Cumulative Experience in the Following:
- Testing/ R&D/ Quality Control experience in:
- Petro-chemical
- Polymer
- Petroleum
- Fertilizer Unit Laboratories
- Testing/ R&D/ Quality Control experience in:
Or/ And
- Experience in an NABL accredited laboratory with:
- Accreditation in the Field of “TESTING”
- Discipline as “CHEMICAL”
- Scope under Group: Lubricants/ Petroleum and Products
- Invalid experiences:
- Disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Biological, Radiological, NDT etc.
- Labs without accreditation in the Field of “TESTING” with Discipline as “CHEMICAL”

Selection Process for the IOCL Recruitment 2025
The selection process for the IOCL Recruitment 2025 will be based on-
- Computer Based Test
- Group Discussion/ Group Task
- Personal Interview
- Medical Examination
Stage 1: Computer Based Test
- The Computer Based Test will consist of an objective type paper containing 135 questions carrying 1 mark each and the time allotted for completing the CBT is 120 minutes. CBT may be conducted in one or more sessions in a single day.
- All questions will be of Objective Multiple-Choice Type. The computer-based examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
- The candidates should secure minimum qualifying marks as mentioned below in each stage i.e. Computer Based Test, GD/ GT, and Personal Interview, for consideration for the next stage of the selection process and finally adjudged suitable for selection.
Stage 2 & Stage 3: Group Discussion/Group Task and Personal Interview
GD/ GT and Personal Interview, ratio applied, relative performance in respective categories, number of posts, reservation position, candidates meeting the notified eligibility criteria & other parameters and documents found in order upon verification.
Stage 4: Medical Examination
Selected candidates must undergo a Pre-employment Medical Examination and be declared medically fit as per Indian Oil’s medical standards.

- First of all, the candidates need to visit the Application portal of the IOCL Recruitment 2025 from the link given below
- Click on the link saying ‘New Registration.’
- Candidates must now register with their mobile number, email, and other personal details.
- Based on the above information, the registration number will be generated and sent to the candidate via email or SMS
- After successful registration, candidates must log in using the credentials and fill out the online application form
- Enter all the details as directed and upload the essential documents along
- After this, the candidate must complete the application form by paying the application fee
- Then, the candidate must preview the application form and click on the “submit” button
- Lastly, take a printout of the payment receipt and application form of the IOCL Recruitment 2025 for future reference
