- An 8-week summer research internship for students enrolled in BSc, BTech, MSc, MBBS, or equivalent degree programs.
- Selected students under JNCASR Northeast Summer Research Fellowship 2026 will work with faculty mentors from institutions located in the Northeast region who are actively engaged in research in:
Natural/ Mathematical / Geological / Engineering Sciences - Faculty mentors may assign research projects: A) Entirely within their laboratory in Northeast India, or
B) In collaboration with JNCASR faculty members in Bengaluru (maximum of 2 will be selected). - This collaborative framework aims to enhance interdisciplinary research exposure and provide access to advanced research facilities.

The selected students under JNCASR Northeast Summer Research Fellowship 2026 will get following benefits:
- Fellowship amount of ₹20,000 upon completion
- Annual travel support of ₹25,000
- Additional support up to ₹10,000 for collaboration with JNCASR

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Criteria
- Applicants under JNCASR Northeast Summer Research Fellowship 2026 must be currently enrolled in BSc, BTech, MSc, MBBS, or equivalent degree programs
- Students must have secured a minimum of 65% marks in core/main subjects (excluding languages) and in aggregate in their 10th and 12th standard or equivalent examinations.
- Must have obtained First Class in preceding qualifying examination, as applicable at the time of applying.
