Benefits of SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026
The scholarship amount is predetermined for each category and is awarded to each selected student on an annual basis:

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for students applying under various categories of SBI Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2026 are given as follows:
General / Minimum Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens.
- Academic Performance: Minimum 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA in the previous academic year.
- SC/ST Category: Relaxed to 65% marks.
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): Relaxed to 60% marks.
- Financial Income Limits:
- School Track: Gross annual family income must be less than or equal to Rs. 3,00,000.
- All Higher Education & Overseas Tracks: Gross annual family income must be less than or equal to Rs. 6,00,000.
Category-Wise Specific Eligibility
School Students (Classes 9 to 12)
- Enrollment: Must be currently studying in Classes 9, 10, 11, or 12.
- Family Income: Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 3,00,000.
- Financial Assistance: Up to Rs. 15,00,000 per year.
Undergraduate (UG) Students
- Institution Criteria: Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree from a Top 300 NIRF (Overall) ranked or NAAC ‘A’ grade and above accredited institution.
- Family Income: Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 6,00,000.
- Financial Assistance: Up to Rs. 75,000 per year.
Postgraduate (PG) Students
- Institution Criteria: Must be currently pursuing a Master’s degree from a Top 300 NIRF (Overall) ranked or NAAC ‘A’ grade and above accredited institution.
- Family Income: Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 6,00,000.
- Financial Assistance: Up to Rs. 1,50,000 per year.
Medical Students (MBBS)
- Institution Criteria: Currently pursuing MBBS at AIIMS or a Top 50 NIRF Medical College.
- Scorecard Requirement: Must possess a valid NEET scorecard from current or previous academic years.
- Family Income: Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 6,00,000.
- Financial Assistance: Up to Rs. 2,00,000 per year.
IIT Students
- Institution Criteria: Currently pursuing studies at one of the 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
- Scorecard Requirement: Must possess a valid JEE Advanced scorecard from current or previous academic years.
- Family Income: Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 6,00,000.
- Financial Assistance: Up to Rs. 2,00,000 per year.
IIM Students
- Institution Criteria: Currently pursuing studies at one of the 22 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
- Scorecard Requirement: Must possess a valid CAT scorecard from current or previous academic years.
- Family Income: Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 6,00,000.
- Financial Assistance: Up to Rs. 5,00,000 per year.
Overseas Studies (Postgraduate & Higher)
- Institution Criteria: Currently pursuing or holding a valid offer letter for a PG or higher program at a QS Top 200 ranked university.
- Scorecard Requirement: Must possess a valid GRE, GMAT, MCAT, LNAT, or LSAT scorecard from current or previous academic years.
- Family Income: Annual family income must not exceed Rs. 6,00,000.
- Financial Assistance: Up to Rs. 15,00,000.
Documents required
- Marksheets of the previous academic year (Class 10, Class 12, or recent semester marksheets).
- Official caste certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable).
- Government-issued family income certificate, Form 16A, or salary slips.
- Latest fee receipt, fee structure, or bona fide certificate from the institution (a letter from the school head confirming zero fees is accepted for government school students).
- Passbook copy or cancelled cheque of the applicant or parent with clear account number and IFSC code (SBI account preferred).
- Aadhaar card or any valid government-issued photo ID.
- Recent passport-size photograph.
- Home or family photograph of the applicant.
- Valid NEET, JEE Advanced, CAT, GRE, GMAT, MCAT, LNAT, or LSAT scorecard (for specific technical, medical, management, or foreign tracks).
- Official admission offer letter (for overseas studies track).
- Valid PwBD medical certificate (if applicable).
