Registrations open for National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) 2024; Apply now

The National Means Cum Merit Scholarship or NMMS is a scholarship scheme for the benefit of the students studying in class 8 in any Government or Provincialised school under the Department of School Education, Government of Assam. The scholarship is specially sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria

• The students must be studying in Class 8 in any Government or Provincialised school.
• Only the students of Government and Provincialised schools under the Department of School Education, Government of Assam are eligible to get the scholarship.
• The parental income of the student should not be more than 3.5 Lakh per annum.
• Students from Private schools, JNVs and KVs may appear in the examination, but they will not be selected for the scholarship.

Benefits of NMMS

• Under the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship scheme, the selected students will be awarded an annual financial aid of Rs. 12,000.
• The benefits will be offered to the students during classes 9, 10, 11 and 12, as per the norms of the Ministry of Education.

• Caste certificate (Only for OBC, SC and ST candidates)
• Disability certificate (if applicable)

• Now, click on the link saying “Don’t have an account? Application Form”
• Fill out the application form with your personal and educational details
• Upload a passport-sized photograph, signature and the Self-Declaration form (format is given below)
• Submit the form and pay the examination fees
• After completion of these steps, download and print out a copy of the application form for future reference
