NEET 2022 registration date extended; Check the latest dates here

The dates for the registration has been extended from 5th May, 2022 till 15th May 2022.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET 2022 registration date has been extended. It was informed through a public notice on May 1, 2022. Now, the last date for receiving the application form online as well as the last date for paying the application fee online is May 15, 2022. Earlier, NEET 2022 registration date was scheduled till today i.e, May 5, 2022. 

NEET 2022 registration date extended: All about the exam

The NEET-UG 2022 will be conducted in pen and paper mode in thirteen different languages of India, i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The paper will have 200 objective-type questions with 4 options in each and the questions will be from Chemistry, Physics, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Each candidate will get 200 minutes (03 hours 20 minutes) to complete the paper, which will be from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM on 17th July 2022.

Under Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act 2019, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is mandatory and a uniform test to be conducted for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions of the country. Also, under Section 14 of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine Act, 2020, it is mandatory to conduct NEET (UG) for admission into undergraduate courses in each of the disciplines of the Indian System of Medicine in all Medical Institutions governed under this Act. The NTA is the only authorized body to conduct NEET every year following strict guidelines and disciplinary actions. 

Nursing courses under Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS)

The Director-General of Armed Forces Medical Services decided that the score of NEET (UG) will be used for the selection of female candidates into the colleges of the Nursing of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) for the B.Sc Nursing Course (2022). The candidates must undergo registration within the prescribed NEET 2022 registration date, which has been extended.
